SE is just taking the safest way to solve the ABA proble.
Spellcast never attempted to solve ABA.
GearSwap makes assumptions that are generally accurate to solve it (assumes UDP packets arrive in order and chunks within the packet are processed sequentially. So when GearSwap injects an equip command, it assumes your gear has changed (instant). FFXI waits until the command bounces off the server and returns (after going through server checks) update equipment.
/equipset is a lot faster than windower macros used to be, I've noticed. Windower macros used to only partially complete if they had a one second wait combined with some other action like a disengage (such as killing a mob with a weaponskill), but /equipset always manages to change everything.
Only problem I ever had with windower macros was trying to put on two of the same (ear)rings. Can't really say I noticed misfires as someone who never migrated to spellcast, otherwise.
And even with the dual (ear)ring issue with windower macros, you can get around it by simply separating the duplicate ring line by a few pieces. For example, the below will work fine:
(line1) /equip ring1 "blahblah ring";
/equip head "headgear";
/equip body "body";
etc...
(line8) /equip ring2 "blahblah ring"
I feel like that was hit or miss depending on zone lag and what not. While I generally did space mine out that way, the few instances where I did wind up having duplicates I'd put like a wait 0.3 in or something short.
Anyone know what the latest dev posts say? Or we gotta wait until MON
The last two were a Fujito post about Mog Gardens (looks like they're trying to make it so you can harvest a node multiple times at once) and the weekly summary post with nothing particularly interesting. There weren't too many posts this week.
One looks like it is just a basic explanation of mog gardens and the other looks like there normal weekly wrap up with some back and forth between Fujito and Matsui about how they are n00bs and finally leveling up wit double xp event and ranking up in missions. And talking about the other campaigns wrapping up and them working on October update
Bah beaten
Surprised this past week didn't have any teasers at all about what's coming in October. Atamos and dual LS changes, and prolly some other little things that got pushed back might be coming, but surely there is more, like more revamped BCs, missions, etc. Gotta say this last update was solid for content though, Incursion has been pretty fun, and WoE at least has a few good items thats driving a market for them, while making Empy WSs a joke to unlock.
Calling it: We have decided to release the planned WoTG content and related rewards however the implementation of Atomos has been pushed back.
Highly unlikely.... since it's highly likely that said "epilogue for WotG" will be the Atomos fight (and Lilisette Trust Quest).
I also thing the main reason people ask for a WotG+ToAU epilogue... even though the only thing connecting them is that Odin shows up in both....
Is because RotZ and CoP had a dual epilogue....
But the thing is... Those expansions were heavily entwined (both dealt with the Zilart's plan to reperfect the world, just that one dealt with the results of its failure -Zilart-, and the other with its success -Promathia-)... while WotG and ToAU are not...
But did everyone forget that ToAU DOES have an epilogue already?? Two technically... The Odin and Alexander fights serve as the epilogue for ToAU... (though technically it's the 48th or something Odin fight and the second Alexander fight... though I might be misremembering if the second Alexander had Dbagbro awake or not... but I DO know that Sexyzombiepirateprine IS "saved" after the like 48x you defeat Odin Prime....)
Though it's probably the 48x getting the entry item for Odin that prevents people from doing it.... myself included.... stupid Timeworn Talismans never being shiny enough.....
It was a joke...
>_>
<_<
1 click mog gardens!?! I might actually start doing it again
What would help that even more is to have a mog basket or something that it dumps it all into, rather than into inventory.
Wont lie, I havent used my garden for anything other than floatsam for about 6 months. All my shits still at Rank 5 cause of how tedious it was.
Except Furrows it all levels up pretty fast I'd rather say
