Hopefully some other reward beside her trust and atomos, like an accessory in the same vein as colossus or aesir equipment. Once the novelty of her trust wears off, everyone will go back to using joachim/ulmia/healer. Will likely be just as mediocre as Uka and Mumor.

I guess I'm the only one who hated Lil. She was annoying as fuck to me. Worse than Naja, because at least Naja made me laugh.

Think she's the single character I hated most in the whole story of FFXI.
Can't think of anybody else I hated more atm, there might be but still, she's close to the top for sure.

What makes joachim worse than ulmia, different song priority?

They're both pretty awful but I don't think Ulmia will cast paeon when you're missing HP at the start of a fight. And she doesn't throw 1 damage pebbles/traversers stones that do nothing but give the mob TP. They'll both keep double ballad on you if you use anyone with MP and they're missing any though.

Well at least Joachim can keep up 4 songs, (I.e if you have two songs and fall into low HP, he'll sing 2 Paeons and they'll stack to 4, you can see he using a Daurd too). But, yah, Ulmia is the only BRD I use if I opt for a BRD, and if I'm on RDM I'll probably just use someone else for fun... or half the time I might just use whoever the F**k I want because its not like stuff is impossible without Ulmia.

Also.. who can hate Lilisette? I took her for what she was and it was pretty awesome. Outside of Prishe she felt like the most memorable of the heroines, and felt like one of the few that actually stuck by you through storyline and such.

Joachim can also cure and -na but his AI is pretty retarded. Also Joachim debuffs, Ulmia does not I think?
And it's not true Ulmia will use ballad as soon as someone is under 100% MP. They will wait a certain %, but this % is not fixed as far as I could see so there are probably other factors.
More often than not she will use one march and one ballad.

Even without 100% uptime, ~15% Haste is something really nice to have when you're soloing.
Either way, soon we're all going to use Koru-Moru. In theory he should use Refresh II, Haste2, Prot/Shell5, DistractII and I think PhalanxII too? But no heals. Seen in the JP broadcast video.
If his AI doesn't suck, he uses RefreshII on other fellow Trust NPCs and his uptime on buffs is at least decent, he's going to be freaking awesome.
Unless his buffs get gimped... but I sure hope SE won't go that way, it would be a first.

I dunno, I'm too biased. First I hated her looks, I hated her story, I hated that she was a time traveler, I hated her parents and their sudden change of mind, I hated her being a whiny, crying little bitch. Dunno what to say, but I'm too biased on WotG so I'll stop here.

Or we simply have very different tastes! To give a simple example (but I could list oh so many...) a lot of people liked the plot-twist/retcon of the alternate dimension (well, ORIGINAL, since OURS is the "fake" one).
For me it was without doubt the single worst thing I've ever read in FFFXI stories and sidestories ^___^

nobutrly, I can see what you mean... different tastes and such. IDK how i felt about that twist cause It was spoiled for me, but as far as Lilisette goes, I just saw her as someone who lost a lot and tried hard to change it. I guess I've forgotten the whiny parts cause I remember her kicking ass whenever possible lol.

I've honestly never ever seen more than 2 songs from him. I don't know what mystical conditions are required to have 4 songs but whenever he uses paeon for me it will override anything else that's up.

I'm also in the camp that doesn't really care for Lilisette. I donno why but she just bugs the crap out of me. That said she was actually useful in the mission battles she fought in unlike other mission girls, and I'm still looking forward to a continuation of the WotG storyline. I don't think I'd say I hate her but she's only just above Lion who's dead last in order of Mission girls for me.

Yeah I've used Joachim a bit and also never seen him exceed 2 songs either. Just throws those paeons on and kills my dps perversely making me more likely to die. The one thing I like about ulmia is if she does decide to do something dumb like ballad when mp is still decent is she will often pianissimo it

part of the reason u may remember lilisette so well is because her mission story went on for like.. forever. the others were done within a year or 2

I was just annoyed that she made me do all the fucking work. At least Naja was funny about it. Lil wasn't funny, she was annoying, like a little sister. Lion was cool because she felt like an adventurer like you. Prishe was AWESOME for far too many reasons to list. Aphmoo was amusing because she was such a wussy little thing. Arciela is somewhat low on my list right now because I keep having to cheer her up whenever she stubs her toe, but at least it's funny when I do. I mean, her favorite book is a sweets book? That's adorable.

Lil was just fucking annoying. I liked interactive with Cait Sith a hell of a lot more.

You must quickly fall from high HP to low HP with 2 fresh songs from him, and he will use Paeons.
It doesn't happen all of the time though so maybe there's something more...
Anyway, it's clearly not something I'd call "reliable" lol, something you can count on.

Oh didn't know that.
He never did it for me, whereas it's 100% with Ulmia.
When I use it with Ulmia he normally cycles (pretty randomly) between 2x Madrigal, 1xMadri 1xMinu, 1xMadri 1xPaeon. In order of frequency from the most frequent to the least.

usefulness of Daken pretty much depends entirely on if they add shuriken with tons of ranged accuracy and really high base damage
