Wow!
Might be worth giving more relevance to this thing of yours you just found out. Maybe someone could put it on Wiki in the Ionis page or something? And in the TH page.

Lol damn we must have just missed each other testing I actually did it myself right before I posted that I don't see why it wouldn't work... though I forgot about the whole caps thing.. anyways I'm actually kind of curious if that is strictly true. Not sure I've seen testing on it and I don't think they ever weighted in on signet type sources of th.... then again they also said job abilities when I'm sure they meant traits since traits are obviously included
"Upper limits of Treasure Hunter including the total of bonuses provided by equipment, atma, and job abilities.
•Thief
Treasure Hunter +8
* The limit will be raised to +12 as normal when under the increased Treasure Hunter effects granted through thief autoattacks, Sneak Attack, Trick Attack, and the ranger ability Bounty Shot.
•Non-thief jobs
Treasure Hunter +4"
Either way don't forget to get a fresh lemon before going out each time.
Are you trying to say that the +2 from Ionis doesn't count towards the TH4 cap from subjob? I'm skeptic, but it's SE we're talking about so it might be.
Couldn't that be easy to test? /THF, Chaac Belt, Ionis. If there's no cap it should give TH5.
Deploy a THF with TH4 (no Ionis, nothing) and if at the first levelup he procs TH5 it means it caps at 4 for /THF no matter how you add TH to it.
I think this should work for testing purposes?
I'm saying that SE didn't say it or the super kupopowers counted towards a cap. There's no real known distinction between job traits, gear, atma and especially none between main and subjob th other than the proc system. So really you could just test solo with thf with enough th to beat the 8 cap. Though yeah if you wanted to test if somehow subjob th works different you'd need your test
Kupower does not count towards TH cap. Seen this many times while killing Behemoths to try and get Savories.
So...no mention of Hastega II yet?
All right just tested it, thf with +5 in gear and lemon still only th8. So guess ionis counts as atma. Kinda curious though if more still counts when figuring your chwnce to proc th
I could probably test that using the model I used previously
TH3 + TK + Sandung + Plund + Chaac + RP+2 = TH 10. Knowing that it will give at most TH8, I could still determine if the TH proc rate is that of mob TH - TH10 or mob TH - TH8.
So wait, does Ionis fall under the TH cap or can it go past that?
I thought that was basically what I said...
So this demonstrates that:
1) Ionis' +2 works on both THF and /THF
2) Ionis' +2 falls under the respective caps of 8 for main and 4 for sub, unlike the TH+1 from Kupower. (does Atma fall under the cap too?)
geomancer op
Wow. Didn't see that one coming.
Also, wtf @ reversing course on the Dual wield changes? Ninja isn't the only job to use dual wield, jackasses.
Fuck, now I gotta know off hand what's actually worth using without +Geomancy bonuses + Bolster. -.- That certainly makes Entrust less OP (and useful) than it appeared. Clueless on what numbers even are anymore with no +Geomancy, but it'd be pointless for Haste for sure, and much to weak for -Def or any main buff/debuff you're focusing on. Guess maybe a slight boost in +Acc/-Eva, +/-MEva, or -Att might be alright as an added bonus, but it doesn't really create instances where you'd Entrust a main buff/debuff to another ally.
I really wish it worked with +Geomancy and Bolster, after they mentioned the Cor bit. Guess they were smart to balance it, full strength would of definitely been too much. Just sucks that it's not a straight -50% potency or something, now we gotta figure out exactly what each bubble does without +Geomancy to optimally use it.
3rd bubble is OP even w/o geomancy+, also 40% on daken is hugeeeeeee
The fact that Daken gets a high amount of racc (according to them) makes me wonder wether or not it will be smart to "sacrifice" DPS to equip gear with slightly worse stats but racc/ratt on them.
Not an issue for Mochizuki Chainmail +1 for instance, but it could be an issue for Hachiya Tekko +1 (inferior to other options) and Hachiya Hakama +1 (slightly inferior to other options, situationally).
iLike
Malithar how much +Haste is Indi-Haste without +Geomancy?
Might still be worth to use it if you pair it with a single March+5 song, or with Haste2. Or hell, even with double march. Losing a minuet could be a minor change comparing to have a strong, undispellable haste buff that won't force you to stay in melee range.
It's more of an issue for the target-weakening songs I think. I assume you'd want max potency from those no matter what.
Gives approximately 28% Haste; still cap magic haste with haste I so yeah.
