Why would you want to remove the augment? Are there negative augments? Has anyone gotten an augmented cape and gone "Shit, I wish this didn't have X on it"?

So you can dbox them maybe? idk
If you don't want a certain cape because you don't have that job, you cannot trade it to the 3:1 NPC.
But once the NPC will allow to remove the augment, you will be then able to trade them.
Makes little sense to me, but I think that's the goal in their view.
caaallledddd iiitttttttIt will be possible to summon Atomos without using Astral Flow.
In regards to the absorption effect, it is the same effect as that of dark magic spell Absorb-Attri and the blue magic spell Voracious Trunk. The effect duration from the monster you absorb an effect from will carry over, so if you absorb it when there are only a few seconds left, it will only remain on your party members for this duration as well.
Essentially, when it comes to Blood Pacts, Atomos is similar to Odin and Alexander in the sense that it is summoned just for this ability alone; however, Astral Flow is not required. There are no plans to add other Blood Pact abilities for Atomos.

Two of them are upgraded Avatar drops.
Is that a 119 Blitzer Poleyn? Looks like an augment. Could also just be a dropped armor with the same model since those arent used much.
I also i expected 220-240 damage shurikens. Koga Shurikens were 88 base damage at 75 and that was on par with Greak katana base dmg. Would assume 119 shuriken would have similar proportionate base damage to a GK also.
FYI COR's been promised a third roll since 2009-2010. I'm surprised they passed us over on combat skill upgrades (No A rankings in anything except parrying), but I'm not surprised they still haven't bothered to give us the third roll.
Third roll was never promised. It was originally going to be their SP2. Maybe they dont want COR to encroach upon RNG by making an A+ marksmanship job with triple shot that can also buff sleep and dispel. *shrug*
COR and THF aren't getting combat skill adjustments for the same reason Drakesbane didnt get a ws adjustment.

Yah, 88 base damage at level 75, comparible to a 2handed weapon (and better in some of the cases)... so... 109 base damage 119? Did they suddenly become daggers?
somethings not adding up there. what the shit SE -.-a
Maybe this is just a "shiny stats!" shuriken and the DPS one is yet to be shown.
Lilith fighting Ig-alima type mob o.O
I bet they got too lazy to make new attack animations and effects for the Atomos Prime fight and just made it summon random Voidwatch mobs to fight in its place.
And in 1 fell swoop the whole making shuriken matter again falls on it's ass and off the cliff. Every level of shuriken was equivalent or better to some of the better 2hd weapons at that level in terms of base dmg and at lower levels it was often like 2-3 times the base dmg of your katanas.... and this stupid thing is lower than all 119 katana <.<
Pretty much. Unless that's getting some kind of adjustment before it hits Daken is not going to be fixing anything. At least they remembered to put some melee stats on it as well.
I'm sure it'll still be a damage boost over using Yetshila, but man that's disappointing.
I guess their logic is, its a 40% proc "double attack" that gives an already fast swinging job extra damage and tp between hits, on top of their /WAR and other multihit gear. I wonder what the animation is gonna look like because at high haste it might look kinda weird if it uses a faster version of the /throw animation. I guess the 88 damage on the koga tried to make up for the 2sec timespan in which your katana swings were interrupted, Dakan won't interrupt your katana swings and it could feasibly proc in the 3-4 attack rounds in the span of time it would take to throw a shuriken(on a job with no snapshot). I guess if the proc rate is that high, it justifies the low damage since its gonna be like an extra katana swing 40% of the time on top of da/ta/qa.
Sange is gonna be powerful as hell during NIN SP2 by the way.
Also dumb question but can kick attacks proc during ws like da/ta? If so , maybe daken can proc during ws?
Lastly with Atomos/Ig-Alima, i bet Atomos will just be an Archaic Rampart style NM. Sits there and calls forth other NMs. Starts off suceptible to all damage types. You damage him to 75%, then all damage hits for 0, calls a second NM, kill said NM, damage immunies shift to be suceptible to a new type(different from first), damage calls a different NM, etc..
Well arent kick attacks kinda crap dmg? they said it was similiar to how kick attacks is so low dmg wont surprise me. but the extra tp will be nice. And the animation thing is def something i was worried about.
