i think you are misunderstanding what I am trying to say, I am not against job adjustments. I just feel like its pointless when your core mechanics are flawed... If the core is broken you can tamper around it as much as you want, the core is still broken...
I am tired of seeing constant job adjustments without them even putting the effort in to fix/change stuff that is flawed in the core mechanics. While alot of those job adjustments are very welcome, some of them went overboard (some of the WS adjustments and SC adjustment are just borerline too much)
Thanks Spar. That's fuckin crazy.
At least we get monthly job adjustments. I kinda wish we had more roadmaps, that was nice, cuz we're running out of stuff to do and not much on the horizon. Used to be wait 3-6 months for Job adjustments. Rest assured, we'll probably have ilvl Meebles , and don't think for a second they won't be super easy, with lazy equipment rewards such as Letalis Mantle +1, or ilvl ISNMs/ENM's, Phantom Gem fights for Bahamut v1, maybe ilvl Provenance and Legion too.
Yeah ignoring the actual problems and trying to make small changes that still have to work within the broken mechanics will never fix something. I can't think of a single job adjustment that will truly fix enmity which is why every time I see them say the word I start to roll my eyes because even without reading it I know that there is a 99% that whatever they are doing wont change a damn thing
None of us know the details of how things like the core mechanics of the battle system are put together. You're assuming that it's possible to fix things like those with the manpower they have without creating a thousand new problems. For all we know, things like JA and Magic delay are imbedded so deep into the code that it would take an actual dedicated group of programmers months to fix it without affecting anything else.
Not to mention that in all likelihood, the vast majority of the original programmers are long gone, either having changed companies or merely been moved to another project. People who have never programmed before might not understand, but fully figuring out other peoples' code without their input is hard, and sometimes even impossible, especially if there aren't any notes.
It is technically possible since MNK Emp causes your Kick Attacks to occasionally DA
I never said anything about traits or proc I was stating how many actual kicks you could do a round which is 2... totally different things
Edit: And since you didn't quote that part I was making a what if sange would work kinda like footwork giving you 1 guaranteed attack with chances of procs from trait still happening. Granted the verbage of it sounds unlikely but you know SE and their translations
Daken only need to boost dps by like 10% to make nin competitive with non sam/ryu drg dd.
oh i am aware that it would be alot of work, and maybe not even doable, however i am not sure if the dev team even tried to do it. JA and magic delay removing might be impossible, but i think a "real" fix to the enmity system is something that is or should be doable or in their reach. I am definitly not compareing Ja and magic delay to somethign like memory space/availability enhancements (Mog locker, enhancement of spelllist, JA per job max etc. or the zone maximum break etc. they did in preperation for SoA).
If they cant get rid of JA and Magic delay then theres is the other possibility of adding additional dmg to each JA/magic spell that is tied to a calculation like normal melee attacks, probably with a formula based on haste/weapon base dmg/STR and attack x amount of delay.
JA/magic delay being removed would be catastrophic, but it shouldnt be global. different JAs/spells should have different timers. DNC abilities, for example.
If it gave us reasons to use actual throwing/marksmanship weapons with THF or DNC, I wouldn't be crying much. Periodically peppering someone with gun-fu or a chakram mid-attack doesn't make me feel bad in the least, if it means a way around the DW issues. Periodic added effects from said weapons wouldn't be a bad deal, either. In the old days, being able to "Occasionally spam Antarctic Wind without expending the item" would have made people jump up and down with the sheer broken of S-E.
40% is a fantastic base rate though all thingts considered. High base DW rate, 10% DA, throw in all the DA/TA/QA Ninja gets. I'm sure moving forward, NIN empy gear will get Dakan +7 on the reforged and maybe even a Dakan TP Bonus +3. I can see them adding multiple 119 shurikens moving forward too, including high damage ones from battlefields. I guess they really will restrict it to shurikens only, because the game doesn't differentiate shurikens from pebbles, they're both stackable throwing ammo , otherwise throwing winds would be cool albeit extremely inaccurate.
im loving the map QOL adjustments.. maps are actually useful now..
too bad im not used to checking them lol
The JA/Magic delay thing would be hella easy to fix... Because it would literally just be setting a variable in a formula to 0. (Or to 1 to account for any shenanigans.)
The question therein lies: was SE intelligent and used referential code and thus hard delay is a fundamental code in the entire system? Or did they tard it up and have every JA and spell finish/lead with that coding...
If it's the former, simple easy fix. If it's the later... Yeah... I wouldn't want to touch that at ALL.
That would be as harsh as the WS adjustments... And as we all remember those didn't happen without some WSs getting inverse WSmods and nonupdates.
