With the current level speed I don't even know why they'd bother to balance anything below level 90, honestly.
If we were talking about pre-abyssea, pre-MMM, pre-AstralBurn level speed I could agree, but with the current rates? I mean...

it's probably going to be 100% reliant on how good the drops are.
    That won't affect anything.
The only aspect that will affect is: will the even be sought after or ignored?
    Period.
Wether it's gonna be a well thought, interesting, fun event or a bloody, criminal, massacre is another story.

Players like that, Developers don't like that.
From their point of view a random system is more "even" and will take players busy for a longer time with a minor effort on their side, compared to a scripted system which requires more effort and lasts less time.
The less time an event lasts, the more often players will whine for something new.
    Time:Resources(Effort).
    It's the same old story...

This system is supposedly aimed towards forming groups or at the very least the sort of thing you'd see at a WKR. They can make it as fun as they want and it wouldn't matter if nobody participated due to shitty drops. Unless the Wanted system is just going around killing level 5 NMs I don't think it will be bad in terms of whether it's fun or not.

I think they have much bigger plans in mind, from the way they presented it (an official Log, they already announced "plans for the future" etc etc). But we'll see in a few weeks I guess.

You do this a lot, disagree, then say the exact same thing in different words. XD Good drops = sought after. Bad drops = largely ignored. 100% reliant on the drops.

I'd agree with what some are saying though, can imagine HMPs and rift items being obtainable in some form from this. Still to be seen if we're chasing pop NMs, popping from ???s, and if it'll be limited to an alliance or more like a reive system. Also if we're competing against other unities or not, or if people are free to join in as long as they're a part of an unity. Guess the whole riding the top unity specifically for gear might be out, if the difference in points is large enough and you need a lot of them. Good to see that regardless of the chat limit, the whole server could be on one unity if it wanted.

Well I was kinda discriminating between an event being "fun" to do, well done, articulated and a fun thing to experience overall, versus something tedious, annoying, frustrating.
Both kind of events can be sought after or ignored, and I think it only depends on the possible drops.
What I mean to say is that if I have to do something because I want/need the drops, I'd rather it being something that makes me think "Oh damn! Can't wait to try this new thing/setup tonight at the event!" rather than "Oh god, I need to play 3 more hours of this insane suffering for the thin, remote hope of getting what I need/want".
I could name events fitting in both groups, this was my perspective, at least.

Didn't see that far but now I think you're absolutely right, given their latest posts concerning HMPs/Cinders.
Should we expect Empys to slowly get more in line with R and M? I'm not much up to date but I think atm getting an Empy to 119 is harder/slower/more expensive than a Mythic?
Not that there would be a lot of sought after Empys aside from Daurdabla though, I'm afraid, but I'd still apreciate a change with that.

And blue magic makes blu good too!!! Because you cast so many spells when rolling with capped cast

As far as unity goes they keep saying the strength of drops which to me sounds like the specific augments on them but that you can get the drops from even the crappiest ranked unity. But to get good augments you'll either have to have a good unity or spend a bunch of whatever they called the unity points augmenting them yourself. But on the flipside they said lower ranked unities could get points faster... so might just come down to do you prefer just killing and getting good drop but having to deal with ridiculously huge chat channel or do you have the time to kill farm a bunch of points and augment in a smaller one

1h WS damage isn't even that weak though...I've seen WAR/NINs dual wielding Axes destroy MNKs with Ruinator in Morimar on every NM, and my BLU's CDCs in Incursion 128 do about 4-8k which is pretty close to my DRG's Stardivers which are ~4-10k(though the extra 2k difference likely due to Aftermath). Isn't Rudras pretty good for THF and especially DNC now with Climactic Flourish changes?

BTW any 1h WS buff they do is probably going to include h2h which means MNK getting more powerful when they don't need anything ofc..

BLU's probably the most well-off as far as the one-handers go and it's probably not the best one to reference. It has all-around utility that is actually useful, from a crazy amount of buffs and debuffs to serviceable magic damage when you need it, access to all 3 forms of physical damage at once through their spells, can self-skillchain, and they fall back on what's probably the best one-hander weapons.

THF and DNC have both problems built into the jobs themselves and daggers just kinda being bad weapons. Evisceration and Rudra's Storm are okay but they're nothing compared to a 2 hander WS.

Katanas just have really mediocre weapon skills all around. Hi is only good compared to the other katana WS, it's pretty crappy when you compare it to CDC or something.

Also since they're mentioning adjusting WS specifically instead of just the weapons, I guess they could always just buff Stringing Pummel a lot if they wanted to make PUP better.

Isn't pummel (not talking about kkk one of course) already slightly better than smite?

And hi is pretty shit. Sure best katana we but still shit imho. Too wide of a possible damage range. I'd love them to fix it (couldn't they do it last time lol? Pretty preposterous..) but I can see them fixing shun instead. With different tp mod, no attack penalty etc, it could have the potential for more solid and more RELIABLE damage.
Nin ws situation is so horrible I'd honestly be happy with anything.

It has a wide damage range because it's a one-hit weapon skill. They have no track record of adjusting something like that so it'd probably stay that way. Increasing fTP would probably be the only way to fix it.

But yeah, adjusting Shun would probably be good (or maybe something like Jin or Ku so not everyone has to get the Merit WS), it's kinda dumb how bad of a weapon skill it was to begin with.

If you allow me the fix, I think that's the relevant difference here. It's one hit AND crit based.
Because there are other onehit WSs which are absolutely awesome instead (Fudo! But probably even the rehauled YGK might provide better and more reliable numbers compared to Hi)
But yeah, what you wrote afterwise is exactely why I'm saying IF they are going to fix Katana WS (which I doubt, but I sure hope so) I see stuff like Shun or even Ku more "fixable" than Hi is.

I'd love to see a skill that consumes the TH level on a target and turns it into a debuff of some kind on them instead. While it's active, the target is immune to having it's TH level increased beyond zero.

Cause face it, there's plenty of fights that TH is absolutely meaningless.

It looks like they buffed sam like if we were lvl 99 and crit ws/level correction were still a thing or something, I'm really surprised sam hasn't been nerfed yet.

On Ragnarok we see a new/long-ago-returning player every few weeks on the LS (InternationalGlobe). I'm either sitting there getting people through newbiedom (intro to RoE, Trusts, etc) or getting old 75-era players into the Adoulin swing of things. If you think we appreciate some shit like universal Wide Scan or home point teleports, to someone from the old days it's like manna from heaven.

One of the problems with stringing pummel and many other WS nowadays is SC property, which I doubt SE is going to adjust. If your group is sticking to fudo/smite/cdc/ukkos/etc you end up with massive amounts of free light SC damage. WS like pummel/evis/ruinator fuck it up.

Wonder if they'll add Adoulin weapon skills, or spells/ws for each job unlockable with Job Points.

Also if you check the version updates in development on forum, synergy skill cap and meritable two-hour abilities are still there... From 2011. They said they'd let us merit sp1's down to 30min and increase synergy cap to 100. Also crafts in the .dats go up to 160 so i wonder when they're gonna open the floodgate for that.

Also would like to see ilvl reforge upgrades for high tier cursed armor. I paid 425m for my hexed gambieras-1 and they're pretty terrible to use now, should be able to at least 119 them with ilvl stats :/

Would be easy too, just trade ki and armor to get the +1 version like skirmish armor then reaugment with an A.Honor and since the augment is forced it would be easy to reobtain the augment.

    425m for gambi +1? /sigh...

I still don't see SE pushing any real new content...I'm sure Draylo is having a seizure over Concord.

Nerfing jobs is never the right answer. It's better to buff the other jobs. Taking away just makes people rage quit. Leave SAM alone, buff others etc.
