I'd hope it would be a nice way of getting gold to 110 as everything past 105 is complete balls...
However Kincaird's translation says they will be relatively easy to synth which knowing SE will probably mean expensive/hard to get materials but at a skill low enough it's easy to find someone to craft (and consequentially not good for skilling all the way to 110) ... but high enough to still be T1 or maybe even T0 to make HQs rare
Makes it even funnier considering all the retards on FFXIAH crying about it.
Dho gates mobs are around 122, while Woh are around 125. The new gates zones seem to have a mix of 122ish (like bats) mobs and 125ish (like Diremite) mobs - sometimes even side by side.
My fav room is in the gates with the Hippo NM - has Hippos, Dullas and Umbrills gathered together. The ultimate room of "fuck you!"
Well, I was about to re-sub, guess I'll wait until Windower is fixed. Really isn't worth playing without it, honestly. And on a related note, thanks for battlemod and everything you do on Windower, makes the game so much better.
Re: CP parties. I wish I could find that JP group that does it for a single hour. That's how I do things, one hour in and then I'm done. I can't do the 3-6 hours of grinding, an hour dualboxing with trusts and a couple people for a few JP's is tough enough. When I get back I guess I should look into Switchmon or something...
Actually will it necessarily break windower? The dev post says it will be possible to have 2 chat windows and will require setup not that it will be mandatory.
When they did it on the test server, it broke windower. We think that they added a boolean to the function that specified which window it was, but no one wanted to put in enough effort to fix it for the test server. It caused a crash every time anything was added to the chat log. It'll be one of those things that makes a ton of addons/plugins unusable for a day or two and then they release a new hook and it's fine again. Now that we know it's coming, we could actually just make a version of hook that has add_to_chat stubbed off, so people shouldn't crash.
And why are you assuming that? IF and I repeat IF the new SU1 armor is "just" a way to gate 119 AHable equipment so that people cannot buy it without having some "proof of commitment" (that is the 50ish Job Points) than that means that such gear isn't really "superior" to any other 119 gear.
In light of this, they wouldn't need to gate 119 armor from Alluvion Skirmish the same way they didn't gate the other 119 Skirmish gear. Completing skirmish is already a "proof of commitment" and you cannot buy them off AH.
So IF the gear called SU1 is "just" that, then it will be something completely different from what we've been discussing for pages and pages and pages over the last few days. (frankly I would be pretty disappointed if it's just "that")
Absolutely true Damane, which is why I'm hoping there's something more behind that whole new "SU1" thing. If it's just a gating for AHable 119 equip then... meh.
I'm hoping that SU1 gear has higher focus on job specific attributes/bonuses or at least category focus (as in pet jobs, melee, ranged, tank, support.)
Usually AH gear isn't job specific. Unless they're releasing Ilvl versions of Dragon Mail, War shinobi Gi, dragon harness, iquira weskit, and that red samurai armor, noble tunic/divine breastplate, etc.
Fuck, RDM hobo armor. D:
