So new blood pacts
...dammit, I really wanted to quit this time.
I would imagine that any future ilevel increase would also mean su1 on all 120+ gear.
I seriously doubt that since that would mean all 120+ gear would be ahable
Not sure why Su1 (or later) would preclude the Ex tag from showing up.
Still doesn't mean it can't happen. Basically SE's just saying people can't RMT their way to leetness the moment they hit 99, go grind some shit for days first.
This was said about Molting Plumage. Hopes for Sweeping Gouge not being shit have increasedAs Molting Plumage will deal a considerable amount of damage in a fan-shaped AoE, we have not added the dispel or knockback effect as an additional effect. Considering how powerful this blue magic will be for blue mage, if we were to add the dispel effect it would become too strong compared to other blue magic.
Not to mention Subduction is just great damage, low mp cost, fast to cast, near instant recast, AND a stuck in quicksand gravity effect, but that's not overpowered?
Our Dev team is delusional when it comes to what they feel is "over powered".
Perhaps but I think fears of all 120+ gear being su1 as fairly unfounded as it seems to be the opposite of the intention they stated of making it ahable and easy to craft that in exchange for other requirements and simply being another choice. Seems more of just another route to high level. You can do content or you can pay a bunch AND jp farm
Yeah, my big concern is people who missed content implementation rush and would basically be sparks-tier on gear not being able to get help with anything consistently. It's swell some people come in here and say they're pulling in X JP an hour with dual-boxes or whatever and good Delve gear, but entry level CP gain is pretty shit tier. At least it sounds like that concern is on SE's radar, but we'll see.
I doubt there is much overlap between players that can't get 119 stuff easily from other sources + players that have over 50 job points on the jobs they want to gear. Super casual players aren't likely to be able to afford crafted gear either unless it's extremely cheap to make by FFXI standards.
Who is this "Su1" stuff aimed at if it isn't (at least situationally) better than other 119 gears?
I'm guessing it's aimed at people who haven't played for awhile and feel idk intimidated by new content and would rather grind cp than learn various new battle contents and get accepted into them. They seem to be saying it will be rather easy to make so somewhat implied as cheap... but you have to get su1 status
It could also be for the 15~ jobs people like playing that aren't generally invited to content that drops 119 gear.
You don't have to be very serious about endgame to level one useful job and do skirmish/delve/whatever thou. If anything, it's less of a timesink for a casual player than grinding all those JPs with sub-119 gear, especially if you want to gear up more than one job.
