The Lair Reives in Foret de Hennetiel are mostly unavoidable. So if you're there just for Colonization Reive, you're pretty much forced to do the Lair Reives too.

^ this.
I totally would understand this at SoA launch (Lair and Colo reive also had much more HP, and so did the related mobs), but now? I mean sometimes I have the opposite issue with Lair Reive. They do not last long enough and I need to deploy strategies to buy time otherwise I'll get no bayld >.>
JP February update trailer:
Alluvion Yorcia augments from 4gamer article:

Can see RDM new JP categories in there, if someone with JP skills can translate.
Altough I guess we'll probably get an english trailer today...
The Alluvion Yorcia looks kinda strange o.O
From FFXIAH:
Red Mage job point categories revealed.
-Category 1: Saboteur Effect Up
-Category 2: Increases debuff duration by 1 second per point.
New Gifts:
-Fire VI confirmed, looks cool.
-Bard getting Threnody II.
-Paladin getting Enlight II.
-Scholar getting Weather II.
-Dancer buff, Finishing Move maximum increase.
Some of that stuff look pretty tough.
JP even more "mandatory"? (not that I'm against that or that I find the thing surprising)
English trailers are up. Trust Arciela and Chacharoon being added!
Where did you see the english trailers?
The trailer gives specific names for the new spells, not "categories".
In before this patch we just get one new Threnody/Weather/Elemental spell, and the others will come slowly in the next year(s) >____>''
"not even scratching the surface"
*show a multitude of minor 'who cares' things to signify this*

Interesting..Inventors' Coalition - Adding the ability to engrave job-specific capes with arcane glyptics to an existing NPC
Tbf I can feel a small degree of excitement, altough that depends on how bad the previous patches have been and tells a lot about the quality/quantity of stuff we've been getting lately =/
Has the Triumvirate Quest been furtherly delayed btw? No mention of it anywhere. For something that was originally planned for december and had to be "delayed last minute" it would be pretty preposterous if they delayed it once more.
- Adding Unity accolades in exchange for A.M.A.N copper vouchers![]()
Wut?- Adding new reforgable equipmen
Omg it's coming alreadyAdding option to tile log windows horizontally
Thought we'd had to wait months for this to come...
Btw with "only" 7 gifts coming, my previous and pretty sad theory is confirmed to be true I'm afraid.
We're getting the new spells one by one
Unless they create a "SU2" status and make scrolls useable only when you have SU2 status, but that would be too smart for SE to do, inorite?
It's more convenient for them to do it this way.
Why should devs feel the pressure of constantly develop new stuff each time they add new gifts when they could simply take a set of spells, release them one by one, and be set for year(s) to come? Of course they're gonna pick what's the easiest option for them =/
"New high tier job traits"
Triple Attack III? Dual Wield IV? ...nah, probably TH4.
I'm fairly sure it's 7 gifts per job, so it's probably going to be a set of magic at a time. Don't think they're doing one spell at a time.

Exactely, 7 gifts for job.
Weather alone would be 8, same for threnodies. Elemental spells for BLM 6.
Considering that I expect a large part of these gifts to be generic stuff and only one/two to be the "new spells" it's pretty clear that UNLESS they're going to release a category similar to SU1 for spells, then we gonna get spells one by one over time, with one for each job coming this patch and more coming who knows when.
Really really hope it's not goin to be this way but... it's SE we're talking about, I could totally see them doing things like this.
Welp, looks like it's time to deactivate.
Three rep posts on the JP forums, one about the incursion cloaks.
Incursion... cloaks?
