And we got Goulash for Hungarian and crepes and quiche for French. Sis Kebab for the middle east. All the sushi/riceballs for japan. Curry for southern Asia. Various noodle dishes for Italy etc. And don't forget nothing is as American as apple pie

Fast forward to actual adoulin and the only dragons in the whole expansion are puks in incursion. Oops. However, a 7th light based delve based on mount kahmir would be pretty cool, as sajjaka has reign over the adoulin dragons it seems(though never shown). SE really dropped the ball with their own lore, and a 7th/8th delve in involving an all demon zone and an all dragon zone could have been fun. Also isnt it weird that delve bosses only ever drop hands/feet/legs/head. Seem like they purposely left bodies out.
WotG was like 20 years ago; maybe the dragons had been wiped out between then and now.

By whom? Everybody had just been chilling in Adoulin, leaving Ulbuka alone, until the start of SoA.

Who knows? Maybe they all lived in a single colony that had a natural disaster and wiped them out. Maybe there was a lethal and contagious virus, or perhaps they ran low on food and moved elsewhere.

Fwahm we can invent all sort of possible retcons to justify that missing aspect (altough to me they all seem kinda stretched, but that's just me I guess), but the point is that SE didn't even bother to try and fill up that hole.
They simply ignored it and while I personally don't care I can understand the disappointment compared to the anticipation some people had for SoA.

Idk about story, but purely from a content perspective wkr/delve feel like they're missing a final tier. Is kumhau/utkux really supposed to be the final boss of SoA endgame?

Kumhau is more like the "final tier" of the casual easy content. Like doing campaign in northlands and such not really all that crazy. As far as delve not exactly sure what you are looking for.... some kind of final mission battlefield? Delve is more of a continuing farm endgame content though I suppose they could try to force a kind of last zone with each of the previous + Teo? Looks like they might be building up to something with all these coalition quests some involving decent fights as well

What I was expecting was a final light(dragon?) + dark(demon/xol?) tier of (or sequel to) delve/wkr.

I mean sky had kirin, sea had AV, dynamis had shadowlord, znm had PW, campaign had fiat lux, vnm had yilbegan, abyssea had shinryu, VW had provenance, etc. Delve/SoA content in general has no equivalent final tier/boss as of yet, it just kind of ends on a nothing.

The quests they've been talking about sound like they would lead up to something like apocalypse nigh or divine might, not a repeatable endgame event.

SE definitrly forgot their own lore. Npcs implied dragoons were commonplace in Adoulin and wyverns were not extinct. Fast forward 20 years and not a single npc alive in Adoulin, not a dragon in sight, and nobody mentions Achetelle at all. Hypothetically, she may have been from the same order as Flavira, making them relatives but who knows. We'll have to wait for that Maester quest. Looks like each patch is a quest for each Maester. Maybe at the end of all 12 we'll get to pick a second ring :/

It was odd that Sajjaka kinda gained our trust from some stupid multiple choice question. Why couldn't he test our mortal mettle with a battlefield like Bahamut and Ouryu did? I remember ppl askkng for new Wyrm fights like in 2012 and then we never got one. Sajjaka would have been a fun and interesting holy dragon fight.

But yeah i think they have a trump because delve does seem kind of incomplete. There's bodies missing. A teodor delve in rakaznar would be fun. Gargoille, Dullahan, Gallu, Imp, Ahriman with Teodore being the delve boss. For Sajjaka, could be Puk, Wyvern, Wyrm, Shadow Dragon, Abyssal Dragon with Sajjaka being the delve boss. They would need to open up Mount Kamhir as a zone though. Kinda odd how the zone exists technically because you zone in through cutscenes but can't move around. Why would they make an entire zone just for cutscenes instead of making the cutscenes occur in kamhir drifts. No other zone in the game is cutscene only.

Dropping spoilers for people who haven't finished SoA yet to know who the 7th Naakaul is. (myself not included)

I do agree though that I wish SoA had a bit more depth in storyline and consistency with lore. I'm hoping that these quests they are slowly adding will fill in the gaps of Adoulin being mentioned previously. They did manage to get Halloween witches in though I was a little disappointed none of them wear the hat.

I hope these quests lead to more Dragon lore and reasoning behind Ra'Kaznar. I don't think they completed stated what that place was and who built it. Unless I just glossed that over. By the time you get access to Ra'Kaznar Turris, it seemed like with the weird floor teleporters, that the area was supposed to be a lot more than it is and got scrapped.

It's the flavor of the month, and it's pure shit for the job. Reducing Rudra's to 5/10/13 (or something similar) for fTP wouldn't destroy its ability to damage, but might create a better overall playstyle for the job. The job has been made a one-trick pony and I absolutely hate it. As much fun as it can be seeing those 99999 darkness damage shots, it really takes away from any feeling of difficulty in the game.

I don't want the job to be a one-trick pony, I want it to require solid gear and knowledge to utilize well, and making the gear requirement and TP usage more significant would help greatly in that regard. I also want my Mercy Stroke back.
Jesus fucking christ you're dense. First of all, before this THF was a one-trick pony, TH whore. Even if you had it geared well, and I did, you would still lose out to literally every single other DD, except maybe PUP. Even a properly geared DRK brought more to the table then a DD THF. I've seen you spout about THF's playstyle on multiple occasions and I think you need to fucking check the state of the game because you're clearly stuck back in 2007 if you think that any DD job's playstyle is anything other than to pump out as much damage as you can and survive the big hits (something that THF is sorely lacking in btw). I'd argue that SAM and DNC were the only ones that broke that mold and only slightly in that they self-skillchained.

All of THF's biggest tools outside of damage have been systematically made worthless over the years: Trick Attack, planting enmity on the tank or anybody doesn't matter anymore due to the broken emnity system that has been that way for years now. Collaborator/Accomplice: Same fucking thing, what's the point of stealing some enmity if they're just going to get it back with the next few casts or single ws? The only use these abilities have now are if you've already died and are weakened you can use it on the healers, and even then you're not really doing much because they won't be at the top of the hate list for more than a fraction of a second until the next melee hit lands on the mob. Feint, the ways of the zerg have long since died out and now nobody counts on having feint on the mob, if you're fighting something evasive, you change your gear/buffs accordingly even in super high tier Incursion fights nobody's having a THF put feint on the mob so they can zerg it down quickly. Evasion, this stat is absolute garbage now. On anything that matters you will never get off the floor with evasion, and on stuff that doesn't you're at the cap anyways.

You also seem to be confusing the gap between entry level of skill and the skill ceiling with the skill ceiling itself. Guess what dude? THE SKILL CEILING FOR THF NEVER CHANGED. It still requires paying attention and coordination to get off your SA and TAs, it still requires a lot of specific gear for specific situations. The gap between entry and ceiling definitely changed, they're a lot closer together than they were. THF is still one of the hardest classes to play, especially if you want to actually live through anything that matters. Do you know how many terrible THFs I see getting absolutely wrecked by the simplest shit? Yeah they can do a 20k Rudra's, and then they die and do NO DAMAGE for the next 5 mins. Changing Rudra's damage to be slightly lower wouldn't do a damn thing to change this fucking "playstyle" that you claim is the problem. It's people not knowing what the fuck that's the problem, and it's always been that way for any job. How many bargain bin/bandwagon SAMs have there been over the years? Don't you think the top geared SAMs also looked down on those guys with disgust? Well guess what, it's THF's turn to have to deal with that, and while it sucks seeing bad people playing the job, on the flip side, there are actually people playing and gearing the job and not just getting max TH gear and calling it a day. This update was a much needed booster shot for the job and you're now butthurt because you felt you were in some special club for being one of the few people to actually put some effort into playing the job.

Get the fuck over yourself you insufferable whiny twat if you think the job doesn't still require solid gear and knowledge to utilize well.

Because they said they would, though I hope it's just a mistranlation that came about from the weapons gaining a third augment from a stone that drops in the zone.

Amorph would've made more sense with the bestiary. Probably dark. Though the final Naakual ended up being some kind of undead hume not sure element but certainly seemed dark.

I suppose though but didn't all those those take awhile to come out after the expansion dropped? And part of that is they have seemed to move away from that towards the whole adjustable high tier battlefields for strong nm type fights and then for other stuff more like a bunch of okish time constraint fights. Also I think part of the problem is they tied them too much into the main storyline missions unlike most of what you mentioned. Makes having some kind repeatable fight with them seem weird and forced outside of rule breaking other world dynamis and abyssea stuff. Like hey didn't I already save the entire world by beating you? Or aren't we allies? Sure having that dropped on us for a quest once is nice but several times an hour? I think they have hinted at some kind of content involving the world Hades went to and stuff so still might get something.

Think of what we got so far as just the stuff that came out while they were working on missions that you can do right away. Remember most of your examples had either came out in lulls between expansions or had requirements of being farther in missions for that expansion so this is about when we should be getting a new type of content that can lead up to that kind of stuff

I'd love an apoc nigh version fight though

Last week the final bunch of audolin bcnms all consistently resisted dark skillchains when I managed them including teodor. I'd definitely put anything associated with hades automatically as dark resistant.

Teodor is dark, he uses a tp move and even gains an aura like other naakuals. Think it gives him a bio aura and grants him a blood weapon effect. Daldamakk or whatever his name is seemed like the original "king" of amorphs as he's a giant poison leech with like a 200/tick poison aura. Just reminds me, they love to reuse special NM types for future content so bet your ass we'll see more of those giant leech NMs with their stupid 200/tick poison auras just like we saw more Gallus, Botulus, and Ytzargs.
