Are they or are they not adjusting Nyzul? The last post on the subject contradicts the previous.
Seems like only Neo Nyzul is getting adjusted.
What's even funnier is the choices of assaults they are adjusting and some they turned down...
The impression I'm getting is "we're only adjusting it if its nearly impossible to beat solo". Lost and Found and Orichalcum Survey are pretty luck-based but they are definitely possible solo. Building Bridges isn't that hard solo if you pay attention and have some movement speed. Lebros Supplies and Evade and Escape are actually impossible solo. Azure Ailments and Imperial Agent Rescue arguably get harder the higher level you are.
This is correct.
Why would they adjust Neo Nyzul and not Nyzul? The same mechanics that prevent solo apply to both, but people don't do NNI for tokens. Nothing will really change I guess outside of azure ailments for me.
While I understand the concept I have gone thru these to try and solo. Sure Lost and Found and Orichalcum Survey are pretty luck-based and technically soloable but the rate is so bad at least on survey that I've fail a good 90%+ of the time.
Lebros yeah that's hard and luck based even tri-boxing. Evade and escape though is not hard to solo in the least. The only thing that was difficult about it at 75 was you spent so much time either evading or killing the Dahaks but now they die really fast and easy .Also if they are too far apart then insta loss
Azure Ailments and Imperial Agent Rescue kinda get harder with level depending on how you do it. For azure yeah you resist more to the point where with ilvl gear on it's flat out impossible but you also get strong enough to keep yourself alive and feeding tp. Still a bit of luck getting them to use the right move but a decent job solo with no ilvl armor on spamming diaga can get it done with a success rate around 1/3-4. Imperial mostly effects the mobs tp gain from hitting you but I haven't noticed any differences in him being able to hit the gate so again just tp feed with dia and pray to the luck gods it uses the right tp moves. Should also note having a way to get them down so they will use tp moves more frequently without meleeing and risking breaking the weapons is also highly advantageous. Success rate for me is kind of weird overall in the mission it's been like 1/2-3 but it's weird because most the fails I didn't open I single cage as the thing would just spam stuff like warmup and the wins I'd end up opening 2-3 each time so it's not like I got lucky picking the right one
I'm OK with their selections for Assaults to adjust:
1) Lebros Supplies has obviously needed adjustment for ages. A couple reasonable ways to go about it: (1) make # of soldiers you have to feed scale by # of party members (i.e. 2 soldiers per party member, up to a max of 12/12 for a 6 man party), (2) make food worth more points and/or drastically change the balance of giving out high point value foods.
2) Imperial Agent Rescue is garbage, but also has pretty easy fixes. Just make the Mamools' weapons immune to breaking and it would make the Assault VASTLY easier, as you could melee weapon-holding Mamools with low dmg weapons to speed things up. Could also boost the damage Firespit does to the gates (or just lower gate HP, basically the same result).
3) Evade and Escape can be completely impossible solo depending on the random locations of the lamps, so I see why the change. And it's a very easy fix - just make the lamps stay on full time (or greatly lengthen the duration) once found.
4) Azure Ailments is probably the least "necessary" to fix (just don't wear ilevel armor - I just did this assault this week as a trio and one guy got 4 ailments by himself in 15min), but certainly would be helpful to reduce the possible TP moves that the mobs use so you can target the right ones.
The ones that S-E didn't mention:
- Building Bridges does kinda suck solo (even duo) and would also be quite easy to adjust - just bump the timer up from 15min to 30 and call it a day. I probably would have gone with that. It's doable solo, but way out of proportion difficulty wise and was clearly designed for multiple people with the low time limit.
- Orichalcum Survey can be awful since it's so luck based and probably would be fair to increase the mining success rate, but it's absolutely soloable. Just might lose a tag or two until you get lucky. I'm OK with the possibility that you could get unlucky and lose a time or two for one assault out of the 50.
- Lost and Found would deserve an adjustment if making everything soloable is the goal. But to be fair, it's really easy with only 2 players (even a dual box that's not actively doing anything) and I don't think it's THAT unreasonable to ask people to scrounge up one additional player.
so 4 isnt gonna be the max, i guess the next installement of rhapsodys will increase trusts to 5. 5 bucks they go overboard with trust buffs and let you solo everything!
4 Alter Egos ok, it's gonna be fun.
But the perk of being able to call Trusts in Genkai BCs sounds a bit... I dunno, not that useful of a perk? Or maybe somethjing that doesn't make much sense to bind behind RoV. Should've been something for everybody, not a perk for progressing beyond a certain point in RoV.
They talk about "high level battlefield" in a generic way, which leads me to think you'll be able to call trusts in ALL of them? I'm really gonna like this if it's true.
Were Zeid II and Lion II necessary though? I wonder.
I really want a couple more of GEO-like trusts though. The fact they cannot be damaged make them really useful in some circumstances. Would love an indihaste one for instance.
Good start, I want to see an effective melee-based CP farming party first though before I think of taking them into the battlefields haha.
Do they have any Blue Mage trusts yet? Looking at this trust list, it looks like there isn't.

So it looks like the pet job trusts got screwed or don't exist in addition to Blue Mage. Most of the jobs do have at least one representative, though, so that's something.
Still, feels a bit weird to have multiple jobs and characters represented multiple times before we have at least one of each job. I get that some trusts are a bit harder than others in terms of not being terrible, but that doesn't appear to be part of their process for deciding.
They should make a proper geomancer trust that uses luopans, at least if it used frailty or malaise or something it would help pets. Though I guess that might not be possible since the luopan itself counts as a pet...
How is it possible that no one really made a Zeid, Zeid, Revolution joke yet?
Edit: Because it should be Zeid, Zeid, Resolution. Geddit? Orz.
Do we have any idea when the next round of HTB are coming out?
