I think the current placement is more of a perfect fit, as in-story relevance trumps real world relevance.
The Odin music name is off though, yes. Is it possible the music was used earlier in a cutscene where NPCs talk about Alexander, and was just reused for Odin because it sounded suitably epic enough?
It seems their new phrase is "We can't promise".
A change from the "We currently have no plans for ..." lol
Can jump to Asura (like 10 people from Sylph did it last week) and you're gonna find plenty of LSs and a couple of occasional lucky PUG that can clear Vagary zones easily.
Getting invites kinda depends on your job selection though, not sure what you have available. If you're one of those "melee onry" guys then it's not gonna be easy.
I'm not going to pay SE extra money as a reward for being shitbirds and not merging servers.
If it's any consolation, I'm confident after summer they'll talk more seriously about possible merges.
Also, I have a hunch that they're gonna add scaling system to Vagary in the next patch (when they'll add trusts to vagary and the new KIs system).
Supposing this will prove to be true, it will be MUCH easier for you to get clears with a PUG group or just a bunch of friends.
I do wonder how scaling would work, less HP on bosses obviously, even though they already melt as is. What else? Less mobs in each zone obviously, this can definitely be achieved in each zone.
Big thing, what about Perf + Plou spawn requirements? If you reduce the number of mobs you'd logically have to reduce the number of requirements for upgrading perf + plou KIs. I'm hoping the LS I'm in can get Plouton clear tonight, would love to get it beaten before any nerf happens. Last week was our first attempt and we got mixed messages on what the spawn conditions were and weren't successful, we have that cleared up now though.
It's not a matter of vagary being too difficult, I'm sure it's already easy enough, there simply aren't enough active competent players to do much of anything. I saw 230 players on during NA 'primetime' yesterday, and 90% of those are afk in jeuno/andoulin. Most linkshells are dead (the few decent ones I used to play with seemed to get vaporized by those ban waves), and it's rare to see an english shout for anything beyond WKR.
My subscription will run out in a week or so, than I guess I'll just come back once in november to finish up the last batch of missions and quests. I've soloed basically everything in the game that doesn't have a 3-man requirement, and there is no incentive to keep playing if SE is going to wait for the game to be over to merge servers.
After the WKR campaign wholeheartedly shitting on skirmish stone prices (on Fenrir anyway) to the point of making me not even want to do an event I enjoy, following it up with this Red Mog Pell shit is going to be an actual nail in the coffin.
Snow prices gonna drop to leaf prices. My soul hurts.
As a person who only has a well augmented Taeon Chapeau, cheaper stones is music to my ears!
meh it will lower for a bit then go back up just like it does at the end of log in campaigns
Oh I know it will stabilize eventually. I don't know what it looks like on other servers, but with the massive amounts (and price drop) of T4/5 skirmish pieces, snow dropped by like 50% on Fenrir. Dusk took a pretty big hit, and people continue to not give a fuck about leaf. Also silly shit like some delve mats dropping to 300k and stuff.
Just sucks because Cirdas / Ra'Ka skirmishes are things that I actually enjoy doing that usually keep the coffers full. NQed 10 hexed hauberts yesterday with ormolu @1.5m each and I'm really feeling not having delve/skirm to replenish gil. First world problems I guess.
first world problems indeed.
If anything I can see dusk dropping a lot rather than snow specifically.
I don't see why anybody (with the intention of selling) should convert their red pell into snowstones instead of duskstones.
When you have 5+ mules or characters doing login (genuinely not uncommon) you're going to end up spreading out the field. Dusk will drop a lot but there's going to be a real and continued decline of snow. Dusk +1 and snow +1 have been roughly the same price give or take 50-80k on my server for about 2 months now.
