Native enfeebles on QD...like promised 3 years ago![]()
What's that area Iroha is in? Looks kind of like Uggalepih but the textures seem too high-res.
Seeing that far east area makes me so sad we'll never get a full blown expansion there :/
I hope the new area in the Far East isn't just a hallway to a new Escha zone.
Exactly how I feel. I still don't get why they went with Adoulin (hell, even Wings to some extent even though I love the nation quests) over a Far East expansion. It was teased so much with RoZ AND CoP, AND ToAU, AND the serpent general quests... Which are technically ToAU, but you get my point. Instead, we're greeted with shitty hallways and an expansion that (to me) feels disconnected and confused.
Hallway? it will be just like shinryu area :D
I just want TH15.
I just want third roll.
I want a Light/Fusion gift WS for Dancer.
I wish for new ws !
Scholar: Adloquium II, Tier 6 nukes, some form of native -aga, Drain/Aspir 3
Ninja: Tier 4 Nukes, Jubaku Ni, Gesshos multi-form attack
Black Mage: -aja II, Drain/Aspir 3, Ultima
Corsair: Third Roll, Tier 2 Quick Draws that deal damage and have their own separate debuff that stacks with others,
Ranger: Barrage Accuracy (make the first 3-4 hits 100%), Range delay reduction, Ranged distance un-nerf (all distances give max damage)
I mean, back when ToAU came out we barely knew anything about the Near East either, but I think people really liked ToAU because of cool aesthetic and they took advantage of their mostly blank slate to create new lore and such. As early as RoZ (arguably in Vanilla) everything we were told about the Far East meant they would have to go with a very specific aesthetic, and CoP just solidified that more. I guess maybe they just didn't want to do Japanese-y theme?
The decision for Wings was probably cost-saving measures. I mean, even ignoring the mostly recycled areas, half the story there was already written for them really.
After that we had years where we thought Wings was going to be the last Expansion, and along comes Adoulin, which was a place we knew almost nothing about. But this time the team was probably even smaller than it was during Wings, so I wouldn't be surprised if their lack of resources is part of why they chose somewhere we knew little about so they could do the whole colonization theme as a excuse for those relatively closed areas with all the hallways and such. Adoulin's lore/culture also doesn't feel as well planned-out as ToAU's did.
Well considering that the announcement showed the Domain Invasion dragon (go go 80/tic regain) in a lush, green bamboo thicket... Pretty sure that there won't be a proper Escha area and we just have Eschan mobs breaking into Reisen island island.
(though I'd bet that the shrine serves as a BCNM port.)
Travel to the remote and sacred island of Reisenjima.
