    Speaking about Dev notes, they announced more fixes to pets for BST, SMN and DRG, and 2 new attachments for PUP: Vivi Valve II and Turbo Charger II.
    TC2 seems to be -delay instead of +haste (unless the description they reported is deceiving).
    How good of an attachment it will turn out to be kinda depends on its elemental cost. If it's gonna be 1 wind slot then it could be really nice. Well, as long as the TP/hit lost because of the lower delay is compensated by the faster attacks but I think it should.

    As for Vivi Valve II I'm a bit puzzled. If it's gonna be 1 light slot only then maybe... but otherwise I really don't see what they want to do with it. Vivi Valve 1 already is more than enough, tipically, for my Galka PUP. Most of the times it just leads up to overhealing if you're using Soulsoother. I can imagine the situation being only worse for Tarus for instance.
    Why would I want to equip a more powerful Vivi Valve?!? The only thing would be 1 light slot instead of the 2 of Vivi Valve1.
    I could see it more useful for RDM automaton maybe, but the problem there is another. It's much less reliable as a cure bot because of the amount of different spells it can cast. Without Damage Gauge it's sometimes painful to force him to cure you. And also he doesn't -na I think? Kinda need eraser if you want to rely on cures and -na with the RDM doll. So yeah once again, unless it's 1 light slot I don't see how this attachment could be remotely useful to anyone. Or am I missing something?

    Makes you wonder why SE wouldn't still allow for easier access to the 8 Ashu Talif attachments... (unlike all other assaults, you still cannot enter solo, need 3 people, and lots of walking to get there)

    I'm hoping that's not all the attachments they plan to give us and what they listed was just a sample.. ahh wishful thinking though.

    I do hope they do change the entry requirements for the Ashu Talif soon enough.

    I'm afraid that's all we're getting.
    Those 2 attachments could be interesting if they're 1 wind slot and 1 light slot. Otherwise they seem to be pretty... I dunno, disappointing. Especially Vivi-Valve II

    An avatar base damage buff is very much necessary. Physical BPs have been hurting. This will make Flaming Crush even more awesome against trash, too!

    Just out of curiosity, do you think the only D/VD setup can be BRD COR WHM PLD RNG RNG or MNK/NINx3 BRD COR WHM?

    All of a sudden, because fkn bst's cry, akaso will be put into greater supply, but GEO's needing a stack for their AF..."deal wit it", I thought the Tulfaire familiar isnt even that good -_-

    The past 2 or 3 times they buffed pet damage seemed to be mostly STR or Attack. Wonder if this time they'll raise base DMG. I'm parsing my Wyvern prepatch on random lvl102 mobs for comparison, SMNs might wanna parse for a few hours to compare baseline dmg maybe.

    it was probably not significant to appear on their radar. unlike salvage or assault, most people don't have a reason to do these at all.. like even if you didn't want to get the drops, there was nothing else from it for you.. Assault had assault points, Salvage had alexandrite (not much but if you wanted it you knew where to look).
    its really easy to get to the Ashu Talif now anywho... you can HP at Nashmau and just use the Alzadaal shortcut west of Nashmau to get there. even quicker now with the movement speed boosts.


    ...as for pet damage adjustments.. I'd really like to see how they adjust it for BST and SMN. I'd be intrigued (and pleased) if they made avatar auto-attack damage anything more than worthless.. because they'd need to increase BP damage way more if they want it to compensate for lack of damage output for the 40-45s in between. Would also help damage / mp efficiency. For BST pets on the other hand, i'd hope they increased TP move damage greatly more than auto-attack.. although in both case i'd welcome it for both.

    If the damage adjustments are substantial, elemental spirits will be an interesting one to look at too.

    They need to 'open the floodgates' so to speak regarding pet damage. For the past 12 years they've been pussies about making pets stronger because they're afraid of tipping the barance scale in their favor yet have no problem letting other jobs be overpowered. In meta-content, yes, pet jobs are pretty strong. BST SMN DRG PUP tear up anything with their pet that isn't 10 levels above them. But once you start getting into mob difficulty where the def/eva/m.eva of the mob is so vast, the poor stats and attributes of the pet, coupled with the fact that they don't receive food/songs/rolls just generally decimates their damage potential. To counterbalance this, pets should be strong to begin with since they can't be buffed.

    They attempted to do this with ilvl equipment like Seriphcaller and such, giving the pet a ton of +stats per ilvl, but in general pets need exceedingly high att/acc(depending on which pet/job we're discussing) to make them viable for any kind of content. It's sad when a fundamental portion of your job's potential parses literally 0.5% on a parse, it's basically worthless. Avatars should be given different attributes and jobs instead of BLM/BLM or whatever it is they are. Make Ifrit as WAR/BLM with Fencer/DA etc, make Garuda THF/BLM with TA and Crit dmg bonus. Spice things up already. They don't need to tiptoe around on egg shells with pet jobs, they've been lackluster since the beginning, every single one of them have had deeply rooted flaws in party-play and endgame dating back to their creation. No jobs have had as many adjustments as DRG, BST, SMN, PUP. They were good ideas but poorly implemented in comparison to more parsimonious and relatively 'complete' jobs like MNK and WAR which have been relatively stable for many years.

    The issue with Records of Eminence wherein exchanging A.M.A.N. vouchers while in possession of over 50,000 Fields of Valor points would cause the quest “Succor to the Sidhe” to reset and cause any weapons entrusted to Callisto to vanish.
    Three COMPLETELY DIFFERENT events co-exist somehow, spaghetti code everywhere!

    I think what they mean is TH always worked if you brought a THF; however, now when doing Very Difficult, there will be an automatic TH provided for you(so you don't have to stress about bringing a THF probably).

    Also now that AF synth materials can drop from SKCNM 20, expect them to drop to a few 100k in a few days.

    That was my point, and so far is the only job to do it (and maybe the only job to do it, untill we get higher ilvl)...every job has its niche uses where it excels at.
