Thief is the best job to kill behemoth anyway, who goes with only savory shanks to get a Dring? You kill KB, dont get the ring, then you kill nq, dont get a savory shank, go back to town and get another 2 pops from your dbox and repeat.

Edit: Not saying TH affects Dring, but technically... it does, you have a higher chance at getting a shank from the nq behemoth, so it raises your overall chance at getting a ring.

Some people just buy a few savory shanks at a time, the kill KB and leave.

I love those tidbits of dev information they give, I hope they continue that. I think Cid would have made a better UL than Ayame though.

Me too. I would have preferred if they published it in a more visible form, like on the website with hero NPC profiles, or like to even give an actual timeline of how the expansions go down. Would seem a little late for that.

What does annoy me tho, is that they bother with novelty things like mog patio, jump emote and random mounts AFTER they had basically lit the doomsday signal on the game. I wonder if it's only because they know there's nothing left to the game that they do things like this

I would never argue against that, I went THF for al my KB kills for that very reason, I would rarely go out there with just a savory shank, that said I only actively tried to build TH on behemoth and even then that was just from using JAs and not WSing, I didn't single wield a Thief's Knife, ain't nobody got time for that.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that despite years of people saying TH doesn't affect D Ring drop 55% of people still stack TH, or that people on here are arguing he benefits of TH on D Ring drop after the devs confirmed it doesn't affect the drop rate.

Whos fuckin arguing it? I said i went 0/30 with nothing more than TH3 and i went 3/31 with a minimum of TH8. Ive admitted its probably just placebo cause of the sample size, but i dont care. I like 3/31 better than 0/30. Did i hurt anyone by keeping TH gear on for the fight and doing an SA feint or two? Did anyone miss their first child birth because of the extra 30 seconds i spent fighting KB? No, so calm down.

You know what the devs also said? "Smn skill doesnt affect BP acc", then turned and tried to save face by saying "oh lol well you all misunderstood, it does affect it but only past cap"

There's nothing stopping you from keeping TH gear on and stacking TH with JAs, doesn't change the fact you're wasting your time.

So did you just buy Savory's, head out there kill KB then leave? Why would you not bring Beastly's and try for extra Savory(s) while there?

Not sure what the conversion rate is on Beastly's but I remember it being pretty shitty even with TH. As Savory's are 500-600k and Beastly's are ~150k, I was under the impression it would be cheaper to just buy the Savory.

At one point the price difference between the 2 was larger. Like before everyone and their mom had D ring and you could just get savorys from log ins

Beastly Shanks are a huge waste of time with Savory Shanks as cheap as they are. Like literally a waste of time, you can make more than enough gil to buy a Savory Shank in the time it will take you to go through enough Beastly Shanks to get a Savory Shank.

Back when more people were actively farming d. rings, it was even worse. On my server, it was absolutely not worth the time to wait in line/fight against people to pop nq behemoths for like a 10-15% chance of a savory.

That makes no sense. If people are waiting in line, once youre up there, you can pop as many as you want. That makes it less productive since youre waiting in line to pop 2 KBs instead of 2KBs with a chance at 1 or 2 more KBs.

If people are being dickheads and spam popping, then thats a different situation altogether.

This is exactly why I cut in line every single time. I wasn't going to wait an indefinite number of hours behind dozens of thief's knife only nq behemoth kills every attempt. I popped my KBs with ASE, killed with blu ASAP and fucking left.

because adding things like new zones and missions would take more resources than they're willing to devote, yet they decided they wanted to keep subs going since the mobile isn't ready so here comes fluff they may have not expected

to people who require serious new content though, it basically amounts to the same thing - doomsday once they tire of escha

I know one of the things I'd pined for was letting us learn all the Campaign general WS alongside adding some for the weapons lacking such. But they're probably done adding new WS at this point.
