Either that's a big phat lie, or their AI doesn't take into account additional sources of accuracy.
In Reisenjima on my NIN against normal mobs I'm at over 1200 acc and Joachim still favors Madrigal+March instead of Minuet+March.
Qultada looks smarter in that regard with the use of Hunter's/Fighter's/Corsair's in addition to Chaos.

This doesn't change the fact that we're almost out of Trust slots and we're full of completely useless trusts and only 2 Bards and way too few WHMs and RDMs.
For instance debuff-wise are spread among different characters and there's not a single one who casts all debuffs (well arguably you have that WotG guy, the melee RDM, but he doesn't buff you).
And WHM wise we have a SINGLE whm who casts curaga spells (and they wonder why so many people pick Apururu?) and not enough WHMs who avoid using haste1. Think the only ones are Kupipi and Mihli?
The first is nothing special, the second is ok but incredibly slow with -na, no Dagan/Nott and melees, sometimes using that annoying AoE WS that aggroes surrounding mobs.
So yeah, very weak choices. It's no surprise if people favor Apururu or Yoran over those other options =/

Guess part of the blame is in the fact that lore-wise most NPCs aren't support roles. Can't think of many other famous BRD/RDM/WHM NPCs. Well there are a few, but not many and way less famous than many of the DD NPCs who are already available as trust.
I suppose they gave more relevance in "how much a character is liked" over "how much a character would be useful as trust".
Shame, but to a certain degree I can understand this way of seeing things... Players like us are way too focused on efficiency/utility, but for a large part of the player base trusts are just a nice way to have that cool NPC you always liked fight together with you.

If they really wanted to please the lore nuts they would've added Louverance and Jabbos a long time ago, certainly before they added tertiary "who?" characters like Abenzio and Ullegore. and they would actually bother making quests for all the important ones instead of just plopping them onto us via login campaigns.

I wanted to meet Lehko Habhoka again.

I suspect it's less of that, and a lot more that trusts aren't intended to replace other players. I doubt they feel the need to tune them to perfection, since they're already pretty effective in expanding what solo players or small groups can do.

Improving the AI for older/non-UC healers would be good, as would maybe ensuring access to some of the more effective ones, but I think dealing wth AI quirks is a fair tradeoff. At least for the current state of the game.

It is odd that they haven't added Lewenhart as a BRD trust.

Doesn't Koru-Moru do all the often-relevant RDM debuffs except Addle and Frazzle?

I got an Abj Key on my main and other two mules. Ended up with Wyrmal Legs, Neptune feet, and Jovian Feet.

They probably just have really weird priorities and thresholds.

As far as curaga goesNashmeria II is actually quite good at that. Don't cast haste either I think. No AoE ws though her acc is so horrible and spends so much time cast rarely ws anyways. Pretty good with nas but don't think there is any mp regen not that it's really come up for me. Prishe II can as well but from what I've seen usually waits till you and other people in group are under 50%ish.

They also stand in melee range which is wildly unhelpful lol.

Sometimes unhelpful sometimes helpful. Apupu is whm master but you can find some use with others

All these people complaining they can't get everything super fast... Don't you realize that just decreases the longevity of the game? Always the same type of mindset and they are never happy with any changes.

Abjuration key gave me goblin food on two different characters today, both of which had several abjurations in their inventory already. Seems like a pretty crappy thing to give as a consolation prize if that's what's going on.

It feels pointless to bother exping without the bonus in place because you know it will be back at some point. It's also really tedious to grind out job points as a returning player.

That exp bonus should just be the norm now really imo.

Relative to most of last year, it pretty much is, with the RoV KI boosts and all that. Doesn't change that yet more bonus is nice to have, but, if they did make it permanent, then people would just want an event on top of it. Occasionally not having it just reinforces that it's a bonus, I think, and it's (probably) just for the week anyway.

Speaking of, I'm liking the campaign format so far, with changing stuff up every week. I'd like to see that be the new format, particularly if it means no downtime between them.

I must be doing something wrong then. After a few hours of fishing I'm only @9. Just got a Pelican Ring while typing this, though.

Yeah I don't mind the other events rotating, I actually like that. I just think taking away the exp bonus sucks.

Definitely something wrong. Even way before all the skill rate increases with no rings could easily get to 11 at knights well before you hit fatigue for the day which only took a couple of hours

Yea that's pretty much what's going on. You get a goblin weel if the abjuration you were to receive is already on that char.

I wonder if SP dial does something similar. Like if it rolls a Rare item you already have it rerolls from non-Rare items, in order to prevent an infinite loop.
