That one picture told a lot. It's in a recycled zone. With recycled mobs. With trusts. It looks like some kind of solo content. If it was going to be fun and amazing, logic would dictate they would want to showcase the best screenshot they could muster. It's the most snore-worthy screenshot ever.

Mmm, I'm with Byrth here. I'm not saying this will be great (nor am i complimenting the choice of SS) but damn man at least wait til we have any information at all outside of a screenshot.

Plus your reasoning is flawed or you don't pay attention to their update screenshots as much as you think you do. "Trusts and solo content", aside from a lot of stuff being solo-able that arguably shouldn't really be, lets take a look at many things they've showed lately...

Reisinjima T4's with.. Trusts, yah okay, shitty solo content amirite?

They use Trusts in alot of screenshots that I'm too lazy to continue to dig up anywhere past last October so I'm stopping at two examples. Yes, theres also plenty of example of them not using trusts and instead real people (usually with Campaigns and such)... Point being, their preview SS has no relation to content being solo-able or not, its just a screenshot.

Also, out of curiosity, aside from Reisinjima what content hasn't been in a "recycled" zone lately...?

Their screenshots of the new unms also were solo w trusts...i dont think anyone soloed unm cassie and frostmane.

you're wrong about all that, except maybe the "melee useless" bit. That part is a serious problem SE just doesn't get, or care to. Right now if you wanna make these weapons worth the effort, strictly cause you *enjoy* melee, gotta limit yourself to like ilvl135 content + have friends who will tolerate melee or 10 box yourself. Very few LS or shouts seem to ever bring melee and these weapons won't change that

By "all that" I'm going to assume you also mean the "mild upgrade" line? Cause the current cost is correct and supply is likely going to drop as people stop bothering with BCs after the campaign ends. Not much else was opinion based besides melee's current standing which you agree with, and whether the quest is worth the effort, which is fine if you disagree but doesn't make me "wrong."

I suppose it's hyperbolic to call it a "mild upgrade" when it's actually pretty good, but it's not game breaking good so it doesn't change anything from a melee perspective. Mythics were already usable before the upgrade so they only become better for what limited use melee see. The upgrade barely makes Relics relevant again, however. And the 1% that have empyreans at 119 have an easy upgrade since boulders cost 1/3rd or 1/2 what the other 2 cost. While the extra base damage and accuracy from skill are nice, it doesn't change the fact you still need a ton of support to make melee reasonable and therefore doesn't really do much for those jobs. Dealing damage was never melee's issue. It's the high cost making a melee set up work compared the path of least resistance. Not to mention mobs still spam the crap out of AoE so you need a lot more healing than other setups.

So if 75-150 mil is worth it to you for sitting in town, great. It's not to me and while I'll work on gathering upgrade items, it will be slow and I really lack any motivation to try harder when nothing is waiting past the goal line. Your opinion my vary.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a closed arena where they let us summon any particular older NM to fight (pre-RoV), possibly with varied difficulty levels. But that might be me thinking too ambitiously.

There's a thread on the JP side where they're asking players to give some feedback for items which are in short supply or are bothersome to make. Kinda dumb they didn't also make a thread in English but I guess that's par for the course. JPs are being pretty exhaustive in their suggestions though.

Ingots/cloths/anything that you need mass supply of and cant get extra for HQing nor has a way to increase output via a KI.
Ive never understood how a stack of arrowheads/lumber/fletchings can either make 33/66/99 arrows, or ingredients for debuff potions can either make 1-4 potions, yet four ores ALWAYS yield one ingot.

I'm sure they won't mind if an NA player posts there, but you don't need to worry about adding a voice for skins/ingots/cloths/etc, there's been a lot of requests for those already.

If they made it so I could get on a mount using "/mount #" or something, I might use it. Unfortunately, I suspect we'll only be able to ride mounts in zones that have chocobos to start with.

Probably will be used with a chargeable Whistle? Also Ambuscade sounds like solo content. "Difficulty that meets their needs" "Accessible for nearly everyone". Perhaps this will be a new kind of battle content that has drops for older content i.e. besides new rewards, it may dispense REM upgrade materials, Alexandrites, HMPs, HP-Bayld, maybe Delve gear, etc? Sounds like a point/token system will be included as well to be able to get any drop as long as you have enough points/tokens. Something to even the playing field for new adventurers trying to climb to 119, veterans trying to get HMPs/upgrade materials, along with new items.
