    I thought some moves were just targeted around the NM itself (with the NM at the center of the AoE radius) and not on the current target? And I thought some Conic moves were the same as in they are just a certain radius-width in front of the NM itself.
    To be fair moves like these might be just rare exceptions though, I got no numbers in front of me.

    Yes, many moves have AoEs centered on their own model, or in a cone on front of them, but the hitbox of an AoE is not intrinsically related to who the target is. For example, look at the Behemoth family's Thunderbolt move in monstrosity; Thunderbolt is an AoE centered on yourself, but you still target an enemy to use it instead of targeting yourself.

    True, I guess -ra spells for GEO fall in the category as well.
    If that's how it works for monsters too then it could be pretty easy for them to implement just like you supposed

    Offensive AoE Blue Magic also works like that.

    So they only going to bring the magical non main target dmg reduction to legion/ambuscade for testing... yay I guess. Given legion is old content it's kind of a worthless test platform and given the way it changes so much each month and who knows if there even will be strong magic ability and differing difficulties ambuscade might not be the greatest. A thought occurs though. Wonder how this will play out with hate. One of the advantages tanks had was with melees taking more of the AoE dmg they'd lose more hate

    Also just noticed it just said "magic-based AoE ability"... so wanna bet this rules out some combination of the following: Spells, conal, breath dmg

    I wonder if they are just copypasting (with a few tweaks maybe?) the technology the developed for Voidwatch and applying it to Ambuscade, or if it's something new.

    Kinda chuckled when I saw it's only gonna affect Legion and Ambuscade at first. They should have used NMs from one of the Escha zones to see how it would affect the dynamic. Ahh well seems like SE just being overly cautious again.

    Looking way more forward to the Morrigan set and the VIT change.

    So this time around they aren't even pretending to put out update notes on time. Like they announce update will be 10 pm tonight but details wont come till tomorrow (no time listed)

    update notes are up real fast. i noticed tho in their announcement the same thing update 2nd notes 3rd. but i figured it would be the 3rd by the time they came out AKA after midnight

    So there is a dev note saying next update you will be able to buy tickets with total hallmarks to trade in for previous ambuscade gear. And apparently tonights maintenance is more than just log in point stuff they are also already doing the adjustment to hallmarks obtained in intense... nice after I finally get to 20k tonight lol

    It only took them 5 months to realize that the time+effort to reward ratio from Normal vs Intense favored Normal

    Well they mentioned it a week ago I think? But don't think anyone thought it would be done midway thru. Of course they aren't increasing gallantry but that ratio was not as bad

    idk about lower difficulties, but they doubled VD Regular Hallmarks reward to 600.

    I assume Intense was also doubled, as well as every other difficulty of Regular.

    Whaat? They upgraded the hallmarks from Regular? Whoops. I don't think they're going to keep that for long.

    Would have been nice if VD regular got doubled as well... I think 1200 Intense VD and 600 Regular VD would have been great. Have more people been doing Intense now?

    I've been seeing almost nothing but intense group shouts in JP time since yesterday.

    Probably helps that this month's intense isn't as annoying as some of the other ones.

    I think sendable Chococards might be the first example of an item that uses extdata being sendable? Can you send fish with weight/length?
