No
I'm honestly amazed at how stable the prices on, say, currency has been considering that there's basically no money sinks left in the game and we're constantly generating a shitload of it by earning Sparks, let alone all the other little things like gil drops from NMs.
BTW yeah that dev post says Trusts dont get Snapshot because Haste is like a "standard" stat on ilevel gear whereas Snapshot isn't. Was planning on posting it alongside any posts they make tomorrow since it's such a minor one (and its another "lol balance so no" posts).
Omen just introduced a significant gil sink, actually; each +2 piece requires a ~1.2m item from a vendor, and each +3 piece requires ~3.6m - ~4.8m worth of items from vendors.
Ahh, okay. Didn't know that, haven't done Omen much. Guess we can look forward to similar things if they make Relic/Empy +2/+3s.
They have never mentioned that they will fix an exploit in patch notes or posts. That would cause panic and people would scramble to milk it or find it. They have always just surprised us and only said anything after an emergency maintenance or included the news in patch notes after the servers are already down.
They never even mention when they fix an exploit, atleast they never use the words exploit or anything similar.
The item thing doesn't have to be big... Could be something like the Alumine exploit when CoP was newish. Perhaps there's an item somewhere that sells for more gil than it costs to purchase (or simply doesn't match the standard buy:sell ratio.) Even if it was only 100g, I'm pretty sure the devs would jump on it ASAP once they found out about it.
They do and they don't. They wont say what the exploit was precisely even after the fact. And even exploits they acknowledge in general they wont say when they are getting fixed but they will tend to move those up into the current known issues. Generally if you find something in the current known issues that's very vague it's probably some kind of potentially beneficial bug/exploit. Generally no where near enough for you to even start to figure something out unless you already in the know.
Maybe the npc pricing thing is this:
Though I thought you couldnt sell anything you could get with trophies to a npc or somethingFeb. 2, 2017 22:51 [PST] From: FINAL FANTASY XI
Current Known Issue (Feb. 2)
We have confirmed an issue with the following NPCs, so they have been temporarily deleted.
- NPC "Dominion Tactician" at Abyssea - Altepa
- NPC "Dominion Tactician" at Abyssea - Uleguerand
- NPC "Dominion Tactician" at Abyssea - Grauberg
We will make an announcement later regarding when the NPCs will be available again.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.
I'm pretty sure they nerfed the NPC price of those weapons a while ago (so they're not 7k anymore).
99% sure they still sell for the same price. Those weapons are crafted normally and most of them can actually be purchased with sparks. Only vendorable item from abyssea I remember them nerfing was chocobo blinkers.
Yeah the Dominion weapons still NPC normally, I still buy them to NPC occasionally when I happen to be in Abyssea for whatever reason. The trophies are useless though since none of the gear is remotely relevant nor NPCable. Maybe someone found a way to get infinite dominion notes to fill all their bags with the weapons?

How confusing. An entire set for Helix 1 spells?
Trying to bring back faux BLM auto-attack T1s
The last couple of ambuscade sets have been so.. pointless... Seems to be getting worse.
Yeah, the problem with the faux auto-attack T1 strategy is that:
1) T1s have never been the highest DPS spells because of the 3 seconds forced delay at the end of each spell
2) Seidr Cotehardie (or Spaekona's Coat~+3) have existed for the entire post-magic adjustment era, making higher tier nukes viable/free.
So while it's funny that you can nuke with T1s for high damage, there's also no reason to do so.
