That would just be part of the 'free client' bit, long as the proper serial keys are registered to your SE Account.
I'm still amazed SE doesn't supply the PC XI client themselves outside of the XI Trial/TestServer Client, given they do for XIV.

im willing to bet its only the case because Yoshi-P insisted on it for XIV.
that being said the teams are closely linked so u almost see some kind of mirroring effect on certain things

SoA site updated, figured here seems appropriate enough.

Oh and it has the pigs in the background too.
for shame...they had 6 brand new models, and then for the 7th and presumably last naakual, they reskin khim
good news is apparently a solo pld in ilvl 100 bayld armor and a shitty shield can solo it?
Khimaira has a lion's face and this is a lion, what were you expecting? They chose a lion, they already had a big part-lion mob. They resemble each other, but they're hardly the same.
They're just simulating the experience of your client slowly trying to decide which of the 250 people in the cramped BC arena full of 50 some adds to render first, before immediately blinking it back out to display something else.
Spoiler: show
A shame I have zero hope for the zone actually looking good, given the walled-off/cut-and-paste nature of the rest of the expansion.
probably just another xarcabard/uleguerand range unfortunately
sure that's a pig in the back ground kind of looks like a colored ram from here.
It's a recoloured ram. Boar (Raaz) are on the updated site. Granted, given the trend of the Naakual arenas, those'll likely be present as adds also.
At least the snow textures appears more defined, rather than ripped from Xarc/Uleg.
I'm also curious wtf this is, hopefully more than just a cutscene trigger.

I've always liked snowy areas myself.
Kinda dumb they got it right 11 years ago and then couldn't do that in the second release of their second MMO. >_> MAKE MONSTERS DISPLAY BEFORE NON-PT PCS, HOW HARD IS THAT.At least XI knows how to handle large-model count situations, unlike XIV
Just disappointed we didn't see any armor pics. I am excite.
Naakual looks neat, wasn't expecting it to be crystal-like. A bit disappointed in the screenshots of Kamhir, hopefully there are some cool spots too.
Also it's about time we get a pig, now we only miss a snake and a bear in this game.
Well technically, it wasn't until a few months of Besieged before they perfected their model display priorities in XI (late 2006). Fond memories of summoning an avatar just to have it immediately disappear when 400+ people paraded Al Zahbi.
At least I was still able to use most macros and issue commands on shit that's currently not targetable on my screen, which is also another petpeeve of mine with XIV; if it's not targetable onscreen, you can't use a skill on it. (sorry dead people shouting for raises!)
November update needs to land already. Barely touched XI after October update since I've got nothing I feel like doing outside of spending my coalition tags where appropriate. Don't have XIV to fallback on either next month since its upcoming content update looks pretty thin for folks already doing Coil runs weekly.
I can't think of many other options for representing an ice elemental NM besides a heavy fur coat, and some ice.
One post about TP feeding and another about RMEs. I can hardly get more than that out of google translate, except that the RME post contains another "we're not going to reduce the entry limits for Assault/Salvage" message.
ftr, their "we're already reaching the limits of our layer-area system" excuse is true (hence Delve/Salvage lag), but it should be an embarrassing problem that they address instead of an excuse.
Wonder if we'll be able to see Mt. Kamihr off in the distance, and if those pillars/door have anything to do with the craziness it's got goin on.
Spoiler: show
I'd have to rewatch the CSs, but during one of them when you're visiting the Leafkin Queen, Arciela make's mention of Mt. Kamihr being distorted or something. Glad that we're finally seeing some ruins and such though, maybe we'll get some answers as to what's going on in the story and why.
Lion King is coming together. Fuck you assclowns that dared to say the Naakual is a bear. I fully expect Hakuna Mata track while cruising through the zone at cupper speed with an aggroed pack of sheep, hogs, and marids.
Edit: Anyone else see that they pasted the Tree's info to the lion?
such a rush job. so many typos and mistakes in the website..
i'm curious about this..
http://www.playonline.com/ff11/adoul...xpansion/1.png
because it marks the first sign of any civilization in Ulbuka thus far. apart from the crystalline looking devices, which we know will eventually do something.
for some odd reason it also reminded me of the Garlean empire. the first time something in XI reminds me of something in XIV...
no surprises with the Raaz boar and Kumhau. I was more expecting him to be a bit closer to the Yztarg, but this is good. It's the first real lion that we've got. an ice lion.
they change the name for this one as well. I prefer Kamihr Drift.. altho i seem to remember the game might have made reference to Kamihr Piedmont in one of the cutscenes.
i believe Kamihr is the waterfall cliff zone i visited in ROM9.. beaucedine remixed with cliffs.. but clearly in its early stages.
