It's talking about how it's annoying that song overwriting is based on the duration of the song instead of just overwriting earliest cast -> latest cast, with a response saying it'd be difficult to change etc.

That's hardly true. You have to keep in mind that what we have merited now is done so because it's the most useful. Therefore, every upgrade past that is something that brings less utility. The only category that is significantly far away from being at its point of diminishing returns is the Weaponskill category, and even that's going to vary a bit by player.
i would rather have the m unlock a merit3 category where you can merit limited amount of all abilitys/spells on all jobs to alevate subjob choices only 1 per job. for example 3 abilitys limited. you could now focus your choice yourself if you want to go hardcore 2 hander melee and merit hasso(sam) triple attack (thf) and berserk(war), and thus have access on all jobs on those abilitys. or you could go hardcore mage and merit cure5 (whm) convert (rdm) and mab trait (blm). or go full on tanking max hp trait (mnk) magic def bonus (run) defender (war). or so 1 ability from each job max, 3 abilitys across all 20 jobs
combinations would be limitless and you could cater to your own personal playstyle, merit 2 categorys abilitys would be off reach and merit 1 abilitys would have no effect on them

Also they're finally looking to adjust Gulool Ja Ja, Gurfurlur the Menacing, Medusa respawn.
awesome... right after me and 17 others camped ja ja for 10 days straight....
For some reason I interpreted the HP post wrong. They are raising the HP and MP of all races except galka and taru respectively, but keeping the same hierarchy. Thus, it is up to SE to determine whether the update is useful or not. For some reason yesterday when I read it, I thought they were giving us all galkan HP.
well, that makes all 5 Mythril Musketeers..
The linked post states that in order to summon Prishe, you need to have completed the mission "The Chains Fall Free". Looking through my Promathia mission list, I don't see this. What's up with that?
Given the "for barance" replies we got about this before, I don't trust them not to pull their evil genie act on this. Like "we lowered the spawn time, but now you don't get the title until you have killed it five times" or something like that.
ffxiclopedia says that "The Chains Fall Free" is the quest where you get the rajas/tamas/sattiva ring.
Though i didnt find it as completed on my quest log...

Yay another offensive caster. Team nuke time
There's a Matsui post today about adding beastman Trust NPCs. Looks like a basic "we're doing it but we don't know when" post.
Return of Gessho!
A Moral Manifest and An Affable Adamantking.
basically, in those quests you make a pact with the leaders of the 4 most common beastmen races in the middle lands, and they have 1 of their servants essentially work for you / aid you when so needed. if they were to work it in lore-wise, that would seem like one of the better ways to introduce beastmen as trusts. Apart from the Yagudo and Goblins the other 2 beastman races aren't really on talking terms and such. That's if you cared about lore anyway. The other one is Gessho.
I'd also like for it to be that because I actually have all 4 quests done and would like to be rewarded for something i put effort in (and spent money on). It also gives people a reason to go back and do those older quests, for those who didn't. And.. the fights are all soloable now.
Since there are enough alter egos in the Trust system that generally overlap now, and many of them already available are easily accessible, the rest of them that they add should have some kind of collectors value. Putting them behind quests or missions, or rewarding players for having bothered to do some things is a good start. And because Ulmia, Prishe and Gadalar all require their relevant quests/missions, I'm hoping that the others in future do the same. Yeah.. I hate free stuff.
