    No, it was not. Also, the anime/translation didn't handle it as well as it could have. Basically it was a request from Shiroe, delivered by Nyanta, to compile all of the magical equipment in possession by the Round Table Alliance and catalog them. Especially the flavor text. What they didn't explain was that Shiroe goes to the Roderick Firm because they focus on R&D.

    Yeah, probably a translation thing. My take on the Teachings thing and Shiroe implying they exist was more a matter of him hoping to create them, thus perhaps necessitating the R&D.

    I'll preface this by saying I've been reading the light novels, I'm on Vol 6.

    Did Shiroe not meet with the leader of Plant Hwyaden yet in the anime? I think it is pretty clear what he was doing when wanted Roderick to catalog all this stuff if that set of scenes wasn't skipped over.

    I guess the anime just didn't make it clear then?

    I actually really like the idea of the Roderick Firm being the "R&D," coming up with new items, scrolls, etc that could not exist previously in the game.

    I'm looking forward to this point forward if so. There's a lot of action coming up. This should be the end of Vol 6. The story in Vol 7 should be pretty great animated. I'm gonna keep an eye out for it.

    Volume 7 has already started and will probably take another 4-5 episodes to finish. Wonder if we're getting Kanami's sidestory or Route 43 next.

    They have not yet gone back to them, but they are hinted at heavily through the last translated volume of the novel. Basically Shiroe is avoiding them as best he can throughout the last novel, but I have a feeling they're coming back in the one recently released in Japan.

    Actually, they did give some information about the breakdown of the leadership of Plant Hwayden. There was a part with them coming together for a meeting. You get some background on some of the people involved. After that, though, we didn't hear from them.

    These last two episodes have been amazing. Great action and character development. My only complaint is I started enjoying this show too early, now I can't binge watch.
