I love how they talk about tactics and don't dumb down any of the terminology. This episode was my favorite of the series.

This is what I've been waiting for for 2 seasons now. Fucking amazing
Yeah, that ep was awesome D;
Really excited to see what that giant looking mob is...I hope Shiro doesn't need the rest of alliance at this point haha.
That aside, the character development up until now has been fantastic. This anime is easily one of my biggest guilty pleasures right now.
Did Shiro just aggro the final boss of the raid while everyone else was fighting the other 3?
Those are some long ass boss fights...
Straight up FFXI shit right there lol.
Indeed. I wonder how the fuck he´s gonna solo that. Not sure if Strategist has powerfull enough offensive spells to solo anything. Though since he´s the Villain in Glasses he might pull off some of his world magic shit that he writes himself. That´d be purdy badass. Anyway, can´t wait.
So, when will we be able to play this Elder Tale mmo?!
2025 I think.
Episode 9/10 reminds me so much of ffxi. The despair in "Was this designed to be unbeatable?" I wanted to retort back with it's not a game anymore, but Absolute Virtue and Pandemonium Warden popped into my head instead.
William's speech was better without him crying and sniveling throughout it.
Man, I feel so different from you guys. I am so tired of them explaining every single move like I'm an idiot and then on top of that, watching a Guild of the some of the "best hardcore endgame raiders", shocked that people are buffing/curing them is annoying as fuck. Listening to Demikas freak every.single.time Shiroe buffs him is stupid(I get he hates him but you are raiding, of course he is going to buff you), and no I don't care about the aoe regen spell someone just cast or how it works. Sure, hearing about Demi's Monk ability that lets him absorb and deal with elemental aoe is cool but they explained like 3 aoe regen spells in a row after and then re-explained Shiroe's MP Channelling which we already knew about.
Seeing every one whine about the raid being unbeatable after wiping to it once? These are hardcore endgame people? Doesn't sound like it to me.
The only interesting part has been Akatsuki's development.
^Mad as fuck!
More like disappointed. It has been a good series but this last episode was awful imo.

Poor Naotsugu.
I know I can't change your overall opinion of the episode, but I felt that some of your issues should probably be addressed.
Considering the moves can be named something unrelated to what they do and may not clue you in to their additional effects, I think it's necessary at times. The general audience may not necessarily all have the same RPG gaming background. Otherwise, you just have a mess of people yelling out things and a light show.
and no I don't care about the aoe regen spell someone just cast or how it works.I think they only actually explained the one regen spell which was the druid's giant tree. The explanation could have been a little shorter, but sudden trees could use some sort of explaining.they explained like 3 aoe regen spells in a row after and then re-explained Shiroe's MP Channelling which we already knew about.
We haven't seen mana channeling since toward the end of season 1 if I'm not mistaken so it's been around 15 or so episodes. Also, they didn't re-explain what it did, but moreso why he was using it. The healer "girl" didn't have any MP left to cast her spell(s) when the timer was up.
They give the impression that all raids only ever involve one boss previously and I assume they found those to be very difficult as is when it was just a game. I'm not sure if cutting your way through doors was ever possible normally and it seems that was what allowed for them to have a strategy involving a larger room and not have to deal with all 3 at the same time. Also, they literally have to live in the dungeon for days/weeks I think? Given the circumstances it seems plausible that they would lose morale after facing 3 at once suddenly if you suspect it may only get worse from there.Seeing every one whine about the raid being unbeatable after wiping to it once? These are hardcore endgame people? Doesn't sound like it to me.
Anyway, that was my take on it, but as Dantrag said, we're all allowed differing opinions.
There were other raids with multiple bosses. These guys are modeled after the Nine Prisons of Heroes, another raid from when it was still a game. They all just received power-ups/couple new moves. So at least that one had multiple boss monsters.
And yes, they are in the dungeons for weeks on end. I believe by the end of this one it's been over a month, maybe 2. I can't remember and am too lazy too look it up.
