Portland vs. Golden State tonight was the game of the year. Edge of my seat the whole way... Could've been won by either team easily, lucky to pull off the W.

I was lucky enough to be at that game, and couldn't believe some of the shots Stephen Curry was pulling off there in the early fourth quarter. Had he stayed that hot the rest of the quarter, he would have finished with 60. Instead, Klay Thompson got hot and turned 6 points into 25 in what felt like about 3 minutes. Lots of intense, hard-fought basketball, it had a different atmosphere than most of the other games I've been to this year. Was a hell of a lot of fun.

I looked up the players taken before Stephen Curry went #7 in the 2009 draft: Hasheem Thabeet went #2 (ahead of Curry *and* James Harden), and the Minnesota Timberwolves took *two* point guards at #5 and #6. Whoops.

Damn, if the Grizz can move to #7 by beating Dallas Wednesday (and my Rockets beat a tough Portland team in round 1) the Spurs may not need to leave Texas till the WCF.. that would be huge for them to have nearly 0 travel.

Heat have about as tough a run to make it back to finals as could be imagined based on this year's teams. First, a series vs. Charlotte, which is 8-2 over the last ten, then a second round vs. BKN and then a conference finals vs. Pacers/Bulls.

SA/Dallas, Portland/Houston, and Clippers/GS all going to be very fun too. Wish I lived on the West Coast so I could stay up for those games.
