Well, sponsors pulling out could help too, which they're starting to do:

But yeah, I dunno if they'd sit out a game. It'd be one thing if it was the regular season, but asking players to stop playing during the playoffs is asking a lot. In an ideal world, sure, people would put fighting racism and hate above trying to win a championship, but once you're in the position where you have to make the choice, it's a 3 game series, and you have home field advantage, I think it becomes a lot harder to do.
I can understand the sentiment but asking the players to walk away from a playoff game is a bit much.
There was a marketing guy on Cowherd this morning confirming that a lot of sponsors were pulling the plug in the next 48 hours.
So more sponsors have pulled out (which is updated in the Gawker link):

As soon as they showed Romo in at the game, I knew the Spurs would win. LOL
Congratulations on the Eastern Conference Finals Washington
Yes true I can't even imagine how much they have invested in it to just throw it away by walking off. I hope something is done at the upper level so that they don't have to focus on it. The fact that they lost last night, was that expected of them? Meaning could it be related to low morale? ["Last night" meaning the first game they had after the scandal broke. The one where they turned their shirts inside out and tossed em on the floor. Sterling's ex wife attended but Sterling did not.]

1. Hearing Adam Silver is dropping the nukes on Donald Sterling today. Everything short of a big mushroom cloud shaped like the NBA logo.
It's so great that Sterling committing actual harmful discrimination by denying hundreds if not thousands of blacks and Latinos from renting in his apartments gets not even a blink from NBA fans and ownership, but an illegally taped and somewhat coerced conversation between himself and his girlfriend is going to be his downfall.
And by downfall I mean he's going to make around 900 million dollars selling the team.
