By all accounts Parker will never be more than an average defender(and likely a bad one) and Randle will be good but not great imo

I'm sure they will take Embiid or Wiggins since they have holes at Center and wing. The fuck up would probably be taking Randle or Parker #1

i mean Lillard, Love, Harden, Kyrie, and Curry are all terrible defenders and everyone considers them superstars no? Parker will be bad to mediocre forever on that end but should get 20 a game for most of his career, skillset and basbketball IQ are off the charts for a nineteen year old.

depends on how you define superstar but p sure Wiggins Embiid and Parker are gonna get at least close. be surprised if the dudes weren't multiple time all-stars

Wiggins is a freak athlete with skill so only his personality can hold him back. Health permitting Embiid should be an all-star.

I see Parker's ceiling as a poor man's Carmelo.

Only player you mentioned I consider a superstar is Curry since he is an incredible offensive player, both shooting and passing. Lillard is likely on his way. Love and Kyrie haven't even made the playoffs yet and Harden is SO fucking dreadful defensively.

For my definition of a superstar, yes. That provides some basic evidence that your play on the whole is conducive to your team having success.

That is not at all to say Love and Kyrie can't be superstars. I think Kyrie has more work to do since the Cavs have been dreadful even when he has played and couldn't even make the playoffs in the East.

Andrew Wiggins has the highest ceiling I agree but athletic ability alone won't make you a superstar. Tons of athletic freaks in the d league.

Ibaka would have made zero difference tonight. He couldnt stop green from shooting 7 three pointers.

Sorry, I gotta disagree. With that much of an asswhoopin, Ibaka would have made a bare minimal impact on it. Would they have won by 35 pts ? Probably not, but OKC still would have lost.

It's a useless hypothetical and impossible to say whether they would have won or not with him there. It completely changes the strategies and rotations of both teams.

I thought the Thunder would win the series with Ibaka but we will never know.
