If you think gun laws are restrictive, why don't you go try buying large quantities of high explosives. That's how restrictive gun laws should be.
I don't think many people are going to use high explosives for self-defense, target practice or hunting.
I'm aware. Just dinging the article for using muddy buzzwords. Do agree that CA has tried to go full retard though with recent purposed gun restrictions such as banning JHP cartridges (which would in turn outlaw nearly all large game hunting and the better round for self defense) and reclassifying any firearm that can accept shotshell as a shotgun (which would make every common calibered pistol into an illegal short-barreled shotgun). And I do believe CA did actually pass an ammo purchase permit law which requires a one-time fee of $50 before you can purchase any ammo from any store.
