DISCUSSION: 11/04/2013 Version Update

Complaining about it taking 50 runs to fully upgrade weapon of 1 person is silly logic if the items are bazaarable.

Why? Because plenty of people spam delve all day long and these items will rain from the sky as delve gets spammed even more hardcore as now its a way to make money, simply by selling said items.

Which means plenty of bazaar mules will have the items for sale in their bazaars all over the place. And judging by drop rates Im going to estimate the items will sell for a couple hundred K, prolly 200-300K, maybe as low as 100K if drop rate is high enough.

Which means itll prolly be 40-50 million gil to just buy the upgrade from bazaars.

Edit: On that note Im gonna call the price of pop items for delve sky rocketting as they become a means to make gil off of stones. I should prolly invest....

On what planet would you consider that reasonable when Metal Pouches drop a max of 15 for a quest that requires 1500, and where Linen pouches drop a max of 99 for a quest that requires 30,000? The precedent is set for pouches to be >1% of what the total is and you want them to be 30%?

Still have Coming Full Circle in active quest line yet get no CS associated with it. So either it glitched and didn't clear off my quest line a long long time ago, or the game doesn't recognize my 99 for the CS to que up. Either way cant flag my Ryunohige.

Are you in possession of one of the Delve boss KIs? (detached stinger, flame-scarred skull, or craggy fin) I don't think it would have to do with quest progression (could be wrong). Just having the 99 + a KI should trigger it.

I tried going back to whitegate to trigger any kind of cs and nothing, also haven't started another one either cause I want Ryu done first. They mentioned needing CS associated with Mythic to be done, I just don't know why its not cleared out of my log. I tried to redo any cs but to no avail.

(i didnt check but noone mentioned it was possible). besides alot of people are allready tired of delve.

we went back to fucking shitland... This isnt a reasonable upgrade like they promised, its utter garbage.

At least this gives me hope that delve runs won't completely die off. For casuals like me, it's extremely difficult to get into a winning boss run that isn't Tojil.

Pick up runs for Foret and Ceizak have been few and far between and even then have a high failure rate. Delve needed something to keep it going. I'm not sure that this is it but at least something.

I assumed it was becasue Come Full Circle was still listed as active, but it shouldn't be cause I did all cs asociated with my mythic a long time ago so IDK.

i quit XIV weeks ago, it isnt my type of game. but THIS is not the direction i wanted XI to go back either. I want to have fun, but farming first 20 SKC to be able to do a BCNM isnt my definition of fun. implementing a seal exchange right from the getgo would have been the proper thing to do.

Introducing a way to exchange plasm for REM upgrade items would make you feel like you are working towards somethign instead of using /random in hopes to win shit and going all gil-farm retard out again to upgrade your REM. they mentioned the upgrade path to be "reasonable". This is far away from being reasonable.

The only thing they got right was the WoE weapons path change and the unlocking of empy WSs. The rest is a road clustered with lots of cockblocks.

Guess I expected way too much from this update. But I didnt expect SE to go from a point based reward system (delve) back to the 2005 reward system of "fucking free lot".

Why do you keep bringing up XIV in reply to people that aren't talking about it at all? Do you sit at home throwing darts at a promotional poster for the game?

I'm sorry but there is such a thing as negative opinions about this game. I know it's hard to believe, since I've never seen you post anything negative about FFXI in my entire career posting here, but it is in fact not a perfect game. I am sure you enjoy it, but it's going to become you enjoying it alone pretty soon, with the way they're going with this kind of update.

•Oboro in Port Jeuno (E-6) will not respond no matter which option adventurers select after trading him a weapon eligible for reforging, thus causing the status of reforging to be unclear.

The bug with mythics seems to be people who have a second one active, a few people i know have had this issue, but i got my CS just fine. (I dont have a second one active)

I'm not upset at all with the new method of upgrading RME, but the drop rate on sacred crests are utter shit as they share the same slot as HKC/KC. I'm getting one every 20-25 min ~_~

I seriously fail to see the concept they had behind this update.

the new hardmode battlefields would be nice... if they were ACCESSABLE. but alas there is no way to change old seals into sacred kindred crests. hence you need to farm first 100 min+ of crest shit to do one BCNM?.... thx but no thx...

the RME update shits all over the very good reward system of Delve and puts us right back into the age of fucking 2005...

I can understand they want to stretch content, but this is way over the line and retarded imho ¬.¬

Or, you can sit there and merit up a bit slaughtering Adoulin mobs, pick up some shards, pop Delve NM's in the field, get RME upgrade items that way instead. You know, all those shards most people just turn into plasm? Delve NMs are six-mannable save for the bosses.

I wasn't thinking of it that way when I posted that topic, but this makes it feel a lot like seal farming and such in Aby. Kill mobs for pop item, get shards, pop NMs, distribute loots, repeat. The hardmode BCNMs drop them? Great, you're getting seals for that too while you do the above.

A reason to kill normal monsters in Adoulin. Who'd a thunk it.
