But cors have 0 archery!!! And um I don't think any bows to use
Now you're getting it.
Just installed XI again and looking for the download file, anyone have a link to the most current one? (Didn't want to make a new thread and thought it would be in here but was wrong)
tysm
So the new BRD SP, basically worthless for 99harp BRDs during BRD/COR swap scenarios?
cant live without herb pastoral. but no, if there were 10 songs worth singing, it'd be pretty unfortunate since there's a cap of 12 songs/rolls
10 songs? To rephrase it is it useful to go from 4 songs to 5 and is it possibly worthwhile to use another dd vs getting 6+ songs
How do you circumvent this? When I try to load vanilla polboot.exe I can't run FFXI. After logging in and clicking on 'Play" the game crashes and says something about needing to terminate and Directx3d isn't working or something but I never have a problem running FFXI through the windower.exeJust so people know, the cutscene for the Earmuffs/new colonization KI will black screen Windower users. It just doesn't proceed.
This is when you hand in the rabbit hides/raaz tusk.
Do what helped me: Try setting it to WINDOWED in the config. My game then started up.
You kinda run out of songs to sing xD Unless you wanna cast something like Etudes I guess.
It makes life simpler if for some reason you decide to keep a single BRD handling both melee PTs though. A single BRD with Horn/Daubla99 using the new SP could give 5 songs which is pretty awesome.
I still regret we didn't get the old SP2, seemed more interesting to me =/
Edit:
Owww didn't know about the cap of 12 songs/rolls, shame on me.
Well then yes, useful for a single BRD doing rotation instead of two. Can see an use in some situations, especially late through a certain content's life. Deffo not early on.
Didn't have time to test it myself and didn't read reports either.
What's the deal with the new books added at outposts? Anybody tested them out? How do they work?
"between outposts" suggests that you can warp from any outpost to any other outpost, whereas with the old conquest system you had to activate the outpost (could only be done when under the control of your nation) and you had to warp back to your town to warp to another outpost, and that could only be done if the zone you wanted to warp back from was under the influence of one of the 3 nations.
So the new books are something you need to activate that go beyond all these "limits"? And what sort of currency do they use? They could have just used the books already available and adding an option there instead than creating a completely new book.
the survival guides allow you to tele between outposts (without having to go back to town). There's one at every vanilla region's outpost (ie, not Zilart of CoP regions), except for Meriphataud (which is a known issue).
It's just an extra convenience. If you can spare the tabs, have actually collected the OPs before and don't mind zoning twice then it doesn't add anything new..
however, if you've never delivered to OPs then this is useful because all you need to do is to check the survival guide once to be able to travel to it (like waypoints). thus far, all places you travel to have a flat fee of 1000gil.
like Field Manual, they stay up when region is taken by beastmen.
unlike Field Manual, they use gil and not tabs.
I believe its separate from existing Field Manuals because each zone has multiple of those, whereas these are one per zone. If we're lucky and they expand upon it like waypoints we'll have (even more) convenient travel across old areas. It'd be nice if each zone had more survival guides that function as waypoints /confluxes
Just curious as to how Smite is holding up post-update
It's mnks best ws 9 out of 10 situations
I think situation number 10 is youre fighting raptor and causing a light SC will trigger rage mode.
