I liked X-3 aside from the treatment they gave Cyclops.

Loved this movie. Hugh Jackman again pulls it off. And this time to near perfection. The limp, anger, hate, facial hair. All of it.
Was great to see one final lunge from wolverine. Lauren was amazing. So savage!

So I kind of get how the mutants died and how X and Wolvy survive... but how the heck is Caliban still around?
Saw it.
Now I feel old and angry and sad.
I don't think it's so much all mutants but the X-Men specifically (and anyone else who might have been at the mansion and surrounding vicinity) that Prof. X took out with his seizure.
As for any other mutants? I dunno, time/sentinels/etc, pick your poison?
It's to be assumed that Zander's corn syrup project wiped out all the mutants
I thought that wasn't so much what wiped out the already living ones, but prevented any new ones from being born?
No, it stopped new mutants from being born. They didn't say it did anything to existing mutants.
Assuming it's the same green compound that was present in those vials, it's directly stated in a couple places that it is basically mutant poison
Wut? They didn't say it's a poison, they said in large doses it made mutants "crazy." There's also no reason to think it's the same thing they put into the food.
Edit: Actually, were you watching the same movie? They used that stuff to heal both Logan and the clone.
I specifically remember during the Eden sequence, Logan stating "that stuff will kill you" and one of the children saying "not in small doses".
He didn't say that. If it was poison, why would the doctor inject it into the clone?
First of all, the clone is not a good representation of the agent's effects as X-23 is specifically designed to be a controllable, next generation mutant. Logically one could assume that this mass produced corn syrup compound would be an adequate steroid, so to speak, for these man made super soldiers. Can also be that the clones would be seen as expendable, making the overuse of the compound a non-factor if it means short bursts of increased combat performance. We don't have enough information to say either way.
Second, I'm pretty sure he does. He sees the vial and when they try to inject him with it, he tells them how dangerous it is which is when the kid says it isn't dangerous in small doses. Don't know why you think I'd bother fabricating that.
it's a temporary performance enhancing drug i thought. prob bad sideeffects for using too much, which is why they aren't on it full time or something.
how could her little legs reach the gas pedals anyhow.
Yeah, it's totally a PED. Like actual steroids, take too much and your balls shrivel up and fall off making you go crazy.
Deffo not a mutant killing poison.
First, I'm not saying you're lying, but you're def remembering that scene wrong. He says it makes mutants nuts, or crazy, or something like that, but he doesn't say anything about it being lethal.
As for the rest of your post, there's a lot of points you're making but none of them make much sense, tbh.
Why would X-24* being "controllable" have any bearing on how the green juice effects him? The doctor gave it to him to stimulate his healing, not to make him obedient. FurtherFirst of all, the clone is not a good representation of the agent's effects as X-23 is specifically designed to be a controllable, next generation mutant.
You seem very confused here. They fed the corn syrup to EVERYONE. Literally the entire populace of at least the US and probably the world. Do you really think they could give everyone in the world that kind of steroid without it being noticed?Logically one could assume that this mass produced corn syrup compound would be an adequate steroid, so to speak, for these man made super soldiers.
The mutants they were creating were the only ones spared because they were supposed to be the first generation of living mutant weapons. When the kids are being taken in the forest, one of the soldiers specifically says they're being kept alive for breeding. Why would they be given a sterility compound?
Again, there is no reason to think that the green juice and the corn syrup are the same thing or that the corn syrup does anything besides cause sterility in mutants.
I mean Zander himself even goes to say that his plan was to control the mutants, but he ended wiping them out instead. Not sure how else he'd have gone about that. The Reavers didn't seem particularly interested in destroying the remaining mutants so much as reclaiming the "failed" X-23s and perhaps detaining Xavier. Pierce really didn't seem all too adamant about any of them though until the kid came into the picture.
And I'm not saying the compound made him obedient, I'm saying that the clone, a "perfect" tube bred mutant designed to be used as a weapon, would not be given a weakness to what is, by the time of the movie, an incredibly widespread product that has inoculated the entire globe.
The corn syrup doesn't cause "sterility in mutants", by the way. It directly disables the X-gene from ever activating regardless of who the one affected is. Mutant or latent human being, no one can give birth to a mutant naturally if they've been exposed to it.
Dude I'm starting to think you watched this movie fansubbed because you're getting a lot of details wrong.
