And if I actually had periapts or gear or anything (or if I remembered to set Ferocity again), I doubt it would have been an issue.
But yeah, anyone who has issues with 2.0 on normal mode should feel bad because under all conditions I listed I beat that nigga on hard mode my 3rd time ever seeing this nigga.

What was your group set up? I had a mage, ranger, fighter, and sorcerer and got worked the fuck over.

It honestly doesn't matter 'cause as soon as he goes into fuck you mode and got the damage reduction they all got vortex'd and I did the rest of the fight solo which took fucking forever because that bar was not moving. I swear it almost felt like I was fighting online Ur or some shit.

Next time I do it, my pawns won't get vortex'd 'cause I understand the fight better (trust me, I had no choice but to learn it lol)

Usually if the pawns are even slightly separated from him when he pulls the vortex they will live. I've never had a problem with it because I don't roll as a mage. From the start to the end of the fight(first and second form) my guy is just hanging off Daimon's face unloading. If you take one full health bar away while he's doing the vortex it staggers him.

Like I said, I was not doing really any damage to the fucker. One full bar took like... 10 minutes when he had DR. When it was not up... one bar took like 10 seconds.

You can also get empty bottles and fill em with spring water and toss those onto any pawn. The pawns will heal the party with those.

And yes, a game forces you to actually deal with the consequences of your actions! I actually like the forced autosave for that reason.
Its not perfect though, of course.

Glad you can basically skip the everfall now with BBI. But at least being fully geared did help me in going through it the first time 'cause it is pretty damn rough on hard.
