The list does have more scrolling (up/down). The 12 humans there strongly implies just m/f versions of the 6 classes. I'm curious if they will have different power sets given that some pairings have mismatched levels there.

ME3 multiplayer was famous for (among other things) adding more classes as time went by so not surprised in the slightest to see this sort of roster for starters

In ME3 multiplayer the M/F classes had different power sets.

Did they? I was pretty sure the default humans were just gender swaps, it was just the DLC humans with totally different designations (ex-cerberus, N7, etc) that had radically different power sets.

Most of the musings from people who got to play the early build last week are saying the combat is amazing and the story so far is what you'd expect from Bioware. I've seen more than one person refer to it as similar/an improvement over Dragon Age Inquisition. However, many have expressed concerns overs bugs and graphical glitches. To be fair, they were not playing the retail version of the game and there has already been announced a day one patch, so we might not encounter what they did. Fingers crossed.

When you say the story is "what you'd expect from Bioware" do you mean actually decent writing or SJW pandering garbage? Because I don't know what I expect from Bioware any more.

I'm not sure what SJW pandering in a Bioware game you might be referring to would be. Because they have gay characters? Because they have had trans characters? Because they have had strong female characters? Those people exist in real life, man. I never felt like I was being pandered to by Bioware.

Except maaaaybe the fan service in the ME3 Citadel DLC. But that was fun pandering.

Wherever you put Inquisition on the spectrum, I'd say there.

We could talk about the backpedalong they did with the qunari to make them trans-friendly all day. Or them making previously straight characters gay/bi for equality's sake. I have no problem with these things existing on their own, but when you have to retcon your previously existing lore to fit them in because you want to send a political message with all the subtlety of a third grader, I would call that pandering.

Was talking to my old group I used to play the MP in ME3 with and see if they're coming back for Andromeda's. Found out one of our gang died a few weeks ago.
Another guy in our group has a friend in Bioware who's checking into putting a memorial of sorts into the MP for him.

Ah, you're right. The default Common M/Fs were just model swaps.

From Sten, in Origins: “Women are priests, artists, and shopkeepers, or farmers. They don’t fight. Why would women ever wish to be men. That makes no sense. A person is born: Qunari, or human, or elven, or dwarf. He doesn’t chose that. Or the size of his hands, or if he is clever or foolish, the land he comes from, the color of his hair. These are beyond his control. We do not choose, we simply are.”

Does that sound like a culture so universally accepting of trans people that they have a word for it in Inquisition?

I'm not saying the message is bad, but pandering is still pandering.

If you're pandering to the idea of accepting people for who they are. I'm cool with the pandering.
