Perhaps you went media black out then. For at least a couple months after me3 release so many people cried that you "had" to do MP to get the "best" ending. It was rage everywhere. That and the "multiplayer " selection like 1 choice down every time you log in. But eh, I won't fault you
Yeah I'm on PC. Afaik 1060 should be pretty much fine with high settings across the board. My laptop is 1070 and I have a couple things (Texture, Texture Filtering, and Lighting, along with HBAO full) ticked into Ultra, rest high.
Lighting and HBAO full are the big killers from what I understand, and I'm able to maintain 60+ outside of some random drops into the low 50s in some hubs (nothing during actual combat tho), which I barely even notice due to the glory of Gsync
The combat and MP in this game is legit fun. Other than the animation issues that have been well documented, my other biggest gripe is the writing, which feels vastly inferior to the writing in the original trilogy. Specifically, Ryder. Ryder is a wishy washy, unconfident blabbering mess who is utterly unqualified to be a leader. There's nothing inherently wrong with that as a character, but it is tough for me to accept her as my avatar in this world when I've come off three games playing with the supremely confident, tough, take charge Commander Shepard.
Ryder being like that is the point tho.
By the time we're introduced to Shepard they're already a certified badass, whereas Ryder is a kid who's in way over their head. While the acting could certainly be better for Sara (I've heard Scott has a much better VA), your main Ryder having zero confidence and being totally unqualified to be the Pathfinder IS the story.

The lead writer for this game is now writing for Bungie
Bitch enough and ye shall receive. Just got my code from GMG.
I haven't gotten that far but my understanding is things do change in that regard. At the very least for the earlier portions getting roasted by Drack is pretty amusing to me.
Got an N7 Hurricane from my first pack. lol
Noticing a lot of glitches like floating shoulders/concave faces/etc. which are a clear indicator of very bad/unprofessional rigging work.
It would appear that negative traits your strike teams earn from failing missions are permanent. You can compensate for them by equipping them with gear, or if they get really bad, you can retire the team and recruit a new one.
Man I didn't realize the Valiant returned. That makes things even better.
Btw is there no heavy melee anymore?
E: while I'm bummed about the removal of cover grab kills and heavy melee, I do appreciate the adjustment of the weight power recharge "bonus" where it doesn't exceed 100%. This allows power-heavy classes to actually use some guns. I'm using Krogan Engi with Phalanx/Viper until I get a more potent gun for infiltrator.
I'm on for multiplayer on PS4. Brillcs is tag.
Played a couple hours. Fun game. I can see why some people might complain about it living up to the original trilogy, but I'm liking the premise so far. Even if the plot is lifted directly out of Xenoblade Chronicles X.
