I did catch one Easter egg. During the flashback to Matt and Foggy's internship, the company they were defending was Roxxon. Which, I believe was a chemical company in Agent Carter and was later bought out by Stark Industries.

Found another one: the guy that Jack Murdock fights in the big match is "Crusher" Creel, who later goes on to become Absorbing Man, and was in a few episodes of Agents of SHIELD.

So I finished the series and I gotta question about Stick. Only Daredevil I ever read was Man without Fear by Frank Miller and there Stick left because Matt kicked a hooker out of the window and killed her than at the end he comes back and Matt seems super excited to see him. He didn't seem like the bad murdering type they made him out in the series. Is that something they changed? I know he trained Electra too but she was another fail I guess.

Elektra wasn't a fail. Bullseye killed her (and then she was brought back to life).

The whole Stick abandoning him thing was what started him down the Batman Rule route.

Put me on the Kingpin is a whiny bitch train. Also never pictured him as soft spoken. Think Wesley was closer to being the way I thought he would be.

Just finished this a couple days ago. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. There wasn't anything I disliked about it enough to even be worth mentioning. Great casting and great performances from the cast, good pacing on the story especially how they managed to tell an origin story without really telling one. Fight choreography was top notch and I love how even though Matt wins, it's always just barely. You're constantly seeing the consequences of the life he's chosen to live. Somebody earlier in the thread compared this show to Arrow, and that's one thing I've always thought Arrow did really poorly. Unless it's the big villain for that season, Oliver takes down everyone without breaking a sweat. Matt gets beat half to death every episode. The other big thing I noticed this does better than Arrow is create the atmosphere of it's setting. Arrow is always talking about how run-down The Glades are, but all you ever see are mansions, swanky clubs and million-dollar offices. DD really gives you the feeling of desperation and hopelessness that's integral to DD's version of Hell's Kitchen.

As for Kingpin, I didn't find him whiny, but I can see why people would feel that way. I thought they had him do way too much violence himself and that violence came out in the first episode we meet him. They needed a few episodes showing him as his cultured, intelligent persona before they showed the maniac he really is.

I'm slowly pacing myself to not finish it in a few sittings (very hard to do), but this is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. The pacing, the characters, everything is really fantastic. I'm sad that's I finished episode 11 today since that means only 2 more to go

episode 11 made me really sad since Weseley is one of the best characters imo and a true friend to Fisk. Even when the gun was on the table I was like "it's unloaded since he would never do something like that." But he acted like a Boss to the very end, even after the tables turned. However there needs to be a real trigger for Fisk so it makes sense somebody had to die to basically set him on his path

There was one fight scene in I think the 2nd episode that was fantastic, specifically because it was all one continuous shot. Don't think they cut for about 5 minutes or so, was really, really impressed by that.
