Stayed out until I was finished. For those saying Kingpin was whiney; that's part of it, it's his origin story too. Which to no surprise, wrapped up in the last ep, and leaves no doubt behind. I like how they never actually used the word Kingpin though, to show that he isn't until the last ep/after last ep.

It's crazy that Edgar suit from Men in Black and Kingpin are the same guy though. Even from some of his recent roles seems a jump at some points.

What I had picked up from an article was that the hallway scene was filmed as one continuous shot, and that they has few takes at it. With only three or so going the full length, and the flawless one ended up being used for the show. That they didn't want any cuts, so Cox and his fighting stunt double switched out on the fly hiding being doors and such.

Never saw Full Metal Jacket? If not, check it out, it's a classic. D'Onofrio's career started in that movie playing a kind of similar character. Socially awkward kid turned psychopath by trauma.

Could not disagree more. Without going into detail, the sharp change in tone after that scene is deliberate and really clever. The audience is meant to experience the same shock the drafted soldiers do when exposed to the reality of war. That scene is the first taste of real violence.

Bruh FMJ was on the other day and I hadn't seen it in years and made my wife sit thru the bathroom scene and she was so unsettled. Movie is so brilliant

off topic as fuck, but FMJ is one of the best war movies ever made. From start to finish it is beautiful. It truly does capture war better than any other movie since. There are scenes in some movies that really "get it" (the scene where dude has a panic attack trying to pick a cereal out in Hurt Locker comes to mind), but that whole movie really does get it.

Yeah Steven DeKnight did an interview around launch date with one of those evil sites we don't mention and strongly hinted that the shows would start running at the same time. Could be a case where they start crossing the characters over during their own individual series as we already know Luke Cage is a part of the Jessica Jones series.
