I've been catching episodes here and there, but the last few were so good I watched them in a row. Then I subscribed to Netflix as a thank you for making such a damn good show.

I really liked it, but I found Fisk to be extremely laughable whenever he would get angry.

It was a reflection of his childish behavior. The story was mostly a coming of age story for both Fisk and Matt. We see how the childhood of both led them to the same conclusion with different paths.

DD becomes a man because of his father's death and Stick, while Fisk becomes a man because of Vanessa.

Fisk had 2 female role models who condoned and encouraged his behavior. His mother and Vanessa. One simply picked up where the other left off. But it was his father who put him on the path of being power hungry maniac.

Still, D'Onofrio's performance reminded me a lot of his character in The Cell. Too fucking whiny.

According to Deadline, Dawson has signed a “larger exclusive TV deal” that will allow her to appear in more episodes of Daredevil when it returns in 2016, as well as “any of” Netflix’s other upcoming Marvel shows. It sounds like Dawson’s performance and the response from fans are what convinced Netflix to make sure she came back, with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb referring to her as “a fan favorite” and saying that he and Marvel “knew instantly” that they’d have to bring her back. There’s a lesson in that for aspiring actors: Do a good job, make sure people on Twitter like you, and then the studio will make sure to keep giving you work on superhero shows.

Two audition videos for the second season of Netflix's Daredevil were posted today on Vimeo, then deleted. They were of two women with exotic features reading for the same part, which we believe is Elektra Natchios.

The actresses auditioning read two scenes. One involved Elektra intimidating some sort of thug and the second scene is Elektra flirting with Matt Murdock back in college. You'll remember from the first season of Daredevil that Foggy teases Matt his gorgeous, Greek college flame. That would probably be Elektra.

Yahoo says he's been cast, but the source they cite says he's "being pursued" for the role. Shitty reporting on Yahoo's part, but omg yes if true.

After he recently talked shit about Marvel films saying anyone could be a Marvel hero, not sure if that's the guy they are gonna go for. It's doubtful he's seen Daredevil and how physical it was. I rather like the guy and would love him as someone in MCU.

What I really don't get is he takes a dig at Marvel, but then he's in that shit Spy. Okay then.

He's not really wrong, though. Lot of stunt doubles or outright CGI in the Marvel films. And while I wouldn't quite call him a modern day Jackie Chan, he is at least more keen to putting himself out there for a shot. What Daredevil arguably benefited from was being more grounded. Threats to Murdock were some martial arts, guns, blades, and I guess the occasional explosion. That's not to say Daredevil won't up the freaky in time, but I can understand his disinterest. As for Spy, well, not sure if we can adequately compare a comedy with some action to his grittier works.
