Daredevil (Netflix) Season 3 October 19, 2018

Both Karen and Foggy got some great character development this season, which I enjoyed whenever DD wasn't out cracking some skulls. My only gripes were the unbalanced chemistry between DD/Elektra (i didn't always buy they were an item) and the last episode being a limp penis in comparison to the rest.

Frank shows up to shoot a few ninjas after showing us a minigun and a whole Green Goblin storeroom of weapons? Cmon. But seriously though, that reveal where Frank gets his gear was totally some Spiderman 2 plagiarism.

This season has been slow? Have we been watching the same season? Shit frontloads the action in ways S1 definitely didn't.

I thought the pacing was perfect for this show. They head straight into the main point of the season by like episode two or three.

Karen and Foggy scenes are counterbalance to the Frank/DD scenes. Foggy dialogues are great.

Can't unsee. This show doesn't need counterbalance, it needs less foggy groggy face every time he opens his mouth. He didn't bother me this much last season...

One thing I didn't quite get was how at the beginning of the season, they made a point to emphasize that NYC was in the middle of a long heat wave, indicating summer time, but the last episode takes place on Christmas Eve? The way it was paced made it seem like everything in the season happened in a period of a couple weeks at most, but it supposedly happened over four months?

August is typically the hottest month. The heat can go well into September. Which puts the timing perfectly in December. Math. Not even once.

Enjoyed this season greatly. Just a few minor complaints but I think it is mostly just wanting an actual Punisher show instead.

His involvement in the finale seemed so just tossed in last minute to show that he did something. Especially after actually getting his skull shirt.

just finished, p cool guy eh. best fight choreography on tv, but like in season 1 the biggest problem is Matt is never the most compelling thing in his own series, he just can't hold a scene like Castle or Fisk. let's full systems go on that Punisher series

They can get annoying. Like Blonde hair chick whose name I never remember. When she walked in on Matt with Stick and Elektra and got all pissy. That made no sense. Its not like they were both naked or kissing.

The bedroom door was open, she was under the blankets, he was ontop of them. Then "FUCK YOU MATT, YOU SUCK" made no damn sense. For all she knew, Matt took in two strangers, an old man and his daughter.

The scenes the sidekicks were not interacting with Punisher/DD I liked. Any scene that had them bitching to either was just "Skip"

1. Punisher punishing + Fisk breathing noisily
2. blind Catholic guilt flippy flips
3. Foggy and Karen doing anything ever

i get they use Fog and Kar to genre mash with investigative white people uncovering shocking truths and law & order criminal justice procedural but it just ain't too interesting juxtaposed with the superheroes

the lights get shut off and ninjas boogie-on-out in an instant. Like that'd affect a blind man who was just fighting them prior alongside Elektra.
