Just finished and yeah, could've done without the Karen flashback being a whole episode just to show she'd made mistakes in the past. ...and the placement....it's like they think it's a good idea to break the pacing that hard. Stranger Things s2 did it just as badly.

And yes, no mystical ninja overtones at all. Very down to earth...brutally. Was getting some vibes like The Departed. And The Dark Knight, similar to Joker setting up Two-Face to be a villain.

I don't get that ending scene though.

So you got a guy in custody on the level Poindexter is, and they're just like "ok you go ahead and do this experimental procedure on this psychopath to restore his ability to keep murdering people should he get out...what?

Ricochet bullets and staplers and shit with 100% accuracy. I know how it works in the comics but there is zero reasonable backstory on it in the show other than he's A) a psycho and B) ricocheted a baseball to kill his coach. Daredevil gets a huge backstory into m'chemicals. I'd have settled for an extra 2-3 minutes.

1. he values all life. remember it's a really big thing for him to decide to kill Fisk afterall... and/or 2. he knows if she dies Fisk utterly flips out and DD isn't sure he can handle that level of a raging Fisk

i get why he stopped it lol, im saying it lost a lot of dramatic weight for me because of the object being thrown. knocking a damn fruit bowl out of the air doesnt quite feel as dramatic as intercepting...almost any other object you can think of.

Finished it. Still good but I'd say it was my least favorite season. Yet again 3 episodes too long and as great as Fisk is I wish he was not the main villain. I liked Dex but I'm sick of the Hero fighting a different version of himself, I guess this irked me more because coming of Iron Fist fighting a guy with red fist. If they announced this show got canceled too at this point I wouldn't miss it.

I remember dying declaration as one of the exceptions to hearsay as well as statement against one's own interest.

4 episodes in, enjoying it so far. I haven't read any of the spoilers, but I feel like I either missed something or they completely brushed past it.

When did his hearing come back? He went from getting his ass stomped in the street by two thugs, to pretty beat up against two more in the dry cleaners, but coming out on top - Then magically his hearing is back? I feel like some scene was just skipped that showed him being able to hear people normally and get around better. After he left the hospital, everything was still muffled. I was under the assumption his hearing wasn't actually back, but from then on, it was stated it was back.

When Fisk was announced as getting out of jail and Matt is on the street. That is the first thing he hears.

Just finished it, and it’s by far my favorite season of Daredevil. Overall, while S1 and S2 probably had the more memorable fight sequences. S3 had the strongest story by far from beginning to end. They got away from the mystical ninja nonsense and brought it back down to earth with some gritty criminal underworld shenanigans. I genuinely hated Fisk as a character by the end of it all. I thought Dex was a great villain too.

Him showing up at Fisk’s wedding with Julie’s frozen body riding with him was probably my favorite scene all season lmao.

I only have a few gripes. I wished they had gotten Charlie Cox a boxing coach to train him. Every single scene with him on the bag just looked flat-out retarded lol. Also...

I felt the young version of Sister Maggie was a huge miscast. She looked like a fucking 13 year old in an intimate relationship with a dude who’s obviously in his 30’s. I’ll retract this if this was a valid point in the comics, I don’t know. They never insinuated it was an issue and stated she merely suffered from post-partum depression. Otherwise, it was just way too jarring and completely took me out of it.
