I'm not going to have a semantics argument with you over the meaning of "white knighting". I'm just sayin', you never make a post unless it's defending XI, which is why a lot of people just discount your posts as you being a crazy person.

Do you even know what a one liner is? You haven't even answered my previous post, what points was I ignoring? People are comparing this to an 11 year old MMO to lessen the severity of the exploit. I came in saying that is silly and it's more severe than XI exploits (my opinion) or just as bad. If this makes me white knight XI, then I guess we have differing opinions.

Do you ever get tired of telling people to shut up on a public internet forum? Must get tiring, you should expend your energy elsewhere so you can be productive.

I know REDACTED could do some pretty legendary things in XI, but:

A) That was years ago, and one would imagine that security would have advanced by now, especially by a professional company who need only look at its past games to see a need to improve.

Was there anything in XI that was as bad as this? Yes I'm aware of PoS hacking/tele-claiming/etc. and IIRC something about using /sit and crafting, but this still seems a hell of a lot worse when you'd expect (pretty sure I shot myself in the foot now) them to learn from XI.

This is the first time I've seen in any SE MMO that another player could directly effect other players in a negative way. One could never steal gil/gear from someone's inventory in XI. This is bad.

What? XI never had shit like this that was so widespread. Botting and the like can't even compare. The closest thing we had was the fishing packet manipulation, and I really don't think that caused very much damage. We had that major inflation, but that wasn't a security exploit. That was just SE being moronic with NPC prices.
