    Is my projector busted?

I have an Infocus X10 from like 2-3 years ago. It's been working great, been through a few bulbs with no issues. Recently it's not displaying anything sent to it from my receiver. It seems to see the incoming signal as it will saying "detecting source image", then display the resolution under it so it knows it's getting data from the receiver, but then it goes to a gray screen and says "No image" or something to that effect.

-HDMI connection between receiver and projector.
-Plugged HDMI output into a TV and got picture.
-All projector menu stuff seems to work via the remote (even did a full factory reset after spending awhile originally calibrating it). Disabled/Enabled HDMI as a source, +other normal projector menu tests.

The only thing I can think of at this point is a busted component inside the projector itself. Anyone ever experience this or have any thoughts confirming/rejecting my diagnosis?

Is the receiver new or have you used this same setup before?

edit: Also, what is the input source, a game console?

Same receiver I've had for about 5 years (Denon 3808, has the most recent firmware on it), same setup I've had for years, haven't changed anything. I've tried multiple inputs from Xbox, PS3, Cable box, Home Theater PC, all HDMI into receiver, one HDMI out to projector, every input does the same thing, the projector detects it, says the resolution (which is different for different sources, example, shows 720p for my PS3 and 1080i for my cable), then goes to gray screen.

Hrm, yeah trying 1080i or 720p would have been my first guess to see if something in the setup just didn't support the resolution you were trying. Have you tried swapping the cable itself for different ones?

Yep, tried 2 different cables. Both worked going into a TV, neither worked going into projector. I'm starting to think it finally blew a fuse after about 3 years and 6000 hours (according to my lamp hours) :/

Yeah, that sounds like it's an issue with the projector and not the source(like 99.8% of my video issues end up being console set to 1080p while all the shit I have it hooked up to only supports up to 720 or a dead HDMI cable, you obviously have those covered). It could even be the actual HDMI port on it, do you have YPbPr component cables to try running those from the receiver or console into the projector?

Hmm I do have the cables to test with, didn't bother trying with that since my HDMI cable is run through my wall to my projector so if I had to switch to those it would be a LOT of re-wiring...but, that would be a good way to test whether it's the HDMI port on the projector. Although, if it is the HDMI port, still means it's busted...unless there's an HDMI to YPbPr converter I could put between the receiver and projector maybe? Hmm...I'll test that out when I get home from work tonight.

Edit - Yeah looks like there's a converter I can get off Amazon for pretty cheap if it is indeed the HDMI port (I'm hoping this is all it is now). Thanks for the idea!
