Getting A T-Shirt Made?

I'm trying to take an image I have and get it turned into a t-shirt as a gift for a friend, does anyone have recommendations as to a good site for this? Just looking for one single shirt, not a bulk order.

If anything, avoid Zazzle if you can. They're a hit or miss. I tried ordering some hoodies with some custom designs on them only to get the designs flipped or turned or even texts misaligned. Their customer support isn't bad though, and you get free replacements with everything corrected to the T.

I recommend http://www.spreadshirt.com/ ! I've ordered from their German site and I'm more than pleased with the print quality and the fabric they use for their stuff. I would guess that the quality doesn't differ (much) in the States. They don't seem to have the same shirt brands on the US shop however...the one I got was one by "Hanes", which is a rather slim fit, but I'd imagine that American Apparel might do the job too! Also, at least in the German shop, the time between ordering and delivery was like...4 days.

I've used spreadshirt as well. It came out as good as I could have imagined. Was a little pricey though. I didn't shop around much but of the few websites I did check, spreadshirt had the nicest design template setup I could find.

Thirding Spreadshirt. They printed our BBQ apron and despite couple of years being subjected to heat practically every summer weekend and countless washes it's still looking good. If you're on budget or the gift shirt is just for short use (like a stag party or something) I'd recommend getting iron-on transfers and doing it yourself, much much cheaper and surprisingly easy to do. Just a word of warning about the do-it-yourself iron-ons that durability isn't that great and seems a little hit and miss (as in I've made some for friends that have apparently peeled in the first wash and then I made one for my daughter that's now lasted forty or fifty washes and there's only little bit of wear around the edges so go figure).

This. They're more expensive than some sites, but they do a great job and have some really comfortable base shirts. We had them make our beer league kickball shirts in 2008 for a league in Nashville and, five years late, none of the graphics have faded / fallen off / cracked / otherwise been shittified; for $20 I'll take it.
