Black Friday Sales 2013

I do wal-mart's thanksgiving day in store every year. Best deals there are on quite a few different games.

Kind of funny though this year, they were super organized and strict about it... and every section that had fairly valuable stuff had at least 1 cop.

The movie and video game sections were right beside each other, but separated by a makeshift wall of boxes so you had to wait in line for each separately. There was a cop on each section and one right in the middle lol.

Was pretty cool really, like they let 5 people go into the video games at a time so you could actually browse a bit and make decisions based on what was there.

I've done one Walmart Thanksgiving night and I was the first person in the video game section. For a brief time I was actually pushed up on the case glass from people overcrowding and the workers walking around not giving a darn. They were going to serve one person at a time but there was no formal line so myself and some surrounding people made a pact to basically form a wall. That part was pretty cool, but behind us people were going crazy ripping apart pallets of stuff!

Got me a 40" Samsung TV for $400. Not the best deal but a good enough deal. It had everything I wanted and was the perfect size to mount on the wall above my desk. Two months ago the same TV was $1100.

Anyone dealt with Westinghouse HDTVs? Saw a 46inch on sale for $299, reading the reviews on Amazon and Newegg though it seems like either all these people just got defective ones, or this is just a horribly shitty brand.

Westinghouse HDTV's are absolute shit. We got one a few years ago on Black Friday and immediately returned it. The picture was awful and every time someone moved on screen it created a trail behind it. Save your money and buy a good tv.

I have a 42" Coby I use for both console gaming and my PC monitor and it works fine despite being a brand I rarely ever hear otherwise of.

Depends on what you are in the market for. I mainly look at games/movies, so to get certain titles for 5-10$, or a new game for $20-30 is nice to me. But a lot of people hype of Cyber Monday and the deals are never comparable. They're almost always higher on CM than BF

Best Buy had Galaxy S4's for free w/ new contract (Verizon) fucking missed that on Sat. Radio Shack has Moto-X free w contract... grabbed one of those since I'm upgrade eligible. Will be my first smart phone... last basic phone on earth converting lmao.

Well for video games last year was much better. A lot of recently released games were up for 25-35. I didn't see as many this year.

Most of the recent major releases were on sale (GTA V, Arkham Origins, COD Ghosts, AC4, BF4). Think all of them were under $35, with BF4 being $25. Probably seemed like less than last year because there were fewer major releases this year with the new consoles being released.

If you guys don't find anything today, I check this site almost daily: http://slickdeals.net/ Lots of goodies there and you can customize it to show you just PC parts etc... They take down out of stock/expired deals pretty quickly.
