Uninsured, etc. Been getting by on pain killers that my friend had left-over. Any options that I may have that I may be oblivious to? Difficult enough to get up to piss yet alone get on the bike and get something to eat; which I'm sure I'll have to do at some point today (or at the longest, tomorrow, since I haven't eaten today etc.)
Popping a back muscle sucks. Really all you can do is massage, give it a rest (no heavy lifting) and hope for the best. I pulled a back muscle a couple years back and it took months for the pain to go away.

Good. It's a pity you're not out here, or I'd have some things I could give you. Sadly, I'd get in a bit of trouble if I tried to mail them.

Ship UPS ground, put them in something, use the same return address as the shipping address. I have no idea how many times I've aided and abetted people get their drugs around the country at work.

I should mention Colace (or a generic form) since you're on a lot of pain meds (it's OTC and relatively inexpensive), If you have constipation issues. Which you probably will. 100mg a day should take care of it, 200 (one in A, one in P) if it doesn't.

Icy Hot patches worked wonders for me. Yoga helped keep it in check after. Inversion table is a great also....

Sometimes sleeping on the bare floor makes my back feel amazing in the morning. No idea if it'll help you though.

Amusingly enough, I've actually done this for something else (shipping Coca Cola to a friend deployed overseas), but never for that. Perhaps a Post Office visit is in order after all.

I've heard people talk about being nervous about shipping illegal substances through UPS, and I just laugh. I work in a relatively small facility, on the smallest shift, and our light nights are over 30k packages. 99.99999% of the time, as long as you package it properly so it doesn't break open, no one is looking at what you're shipping.

Not sure if mentioned, but get checked in 6 months to see if calcium deposits are forming.
The chiropractor should easily show you if they are. It's one of the reasons car accident victims don't start hurting until a year or so late. I hurt my back with squats a long time ago. Now I have problems because I let it go.

in january of 2011, i fucked my back up doing a off version of the marine core combat fitness test. It was 2mile ruck march to the location, then we dropped rucks and had a timed station type thing. Was 1mile sprint, followed by 50 shoulder push presses with a 45lb ammo can, into a 50meter low crawl, then a 15meter station where you had to move a training dummy that weighed 150lbs, then 10 burpee's and a 50meter sprint.

The low crawl after the 1mile sprint and then presses is absolutely god damn murder.... like... have never been more tired than at the end of those 3 things.... god damn low crawls... still shudder about how shitty it was lmao!

Anyway, you could move the training dummy the 15meters anyway you wanted, some people just dragged them, some people did the arms around the neck thing. My dumb ass runs up and grabs the thigh and shoulder and cleans and jerks it onto my shoulders and sprints the 15m.
    This was my failure.

So we all finished the stuff, and 2mile ruck back to our barracks, and the next day i'm sore as shit, right in my lower back, but were staying in hotels at camp Rucker for the next three days while we do some shooting on their live fire ranges. So i'm like, no worries, nice bed and some tylenol and i'll be fine.

2 days later, i can't even fucking walk, i barely make the weapons qual's cause i can't shoot and move, but my superiors threw me a bone and sorta knew i could do that stuff, so we get back, and I go to the doc. He's like "so your deploying to afghanistan in 2 weeks? well normally for this type of injury you'd be on do-nothing profile for 6-8 weeks" and i'm like: "welp that ain't happening" So he's presrcipes me this gammut of shit. Vicodan 7.5's, flexeril, some crazy 2 week steriod pack, and some 5 day oh-shit steriod pack.

We had a week layover in downtown norfolk, and by the time that was done i was 95% fine. It still felt strange, but that went away in the following weeks.

Anyway, TL;DR, I fucked my shit up, close to the worst pain i've ever felt, and only a slew of medicince fixed it. I dunno.... join the military?

They'll pay for your school, you'd be an officer, you'd be surrounded by people that are for the most part not fat boddies (debateable) and you'd have more money than you'd know what to do with. 4 years and you could punch and actually get a job with your education/work experience.
    Also your back wouldn't hurt.

edit: they will not teach you how to spell.

yeah my story's real similar, only it ended with 2 broken vertebrae that i kept running on for 4 years because it doesn't show up unless you do a traverse plane xray or an MRI, and a medical discharge. drink water, you'll be ok really.

This is God's way of letting everyone catch up to CS before he recovers and goes beast mode.
