Story was already broken when our characters couldn't just beat all of those enemies single handed in the story cutscene.

I still remember what a pain it was to get the ferry permission to Aht Urghan and unlock the jobs there tho.XI never required you to complete the MSQ in order to gain access to expansion content or new jobs.
The easiest way was to just pay the NPC 1 million gil, lol.

...hacking.....really?
The insane amount of hacking that I just witnessed has resulted in me, and my entire guild quitting this game.

So...how common is this crap? And why should I continue to play something when people do this?
Square Enix, you guys really should put more resources into hack prevention because its costing you money, and a lot of it.
P.S. I know hacking happens in EVERY game, just not on this scale.
Edit: If you dont care that people hack, you support hacking.
Comedy gold. That is a lot of mad.
Beaten. Was just about to post that thread.
Sooooo not watching 18 mins of some guy rage to himself but:
I'm more confused about what the RMT were doing there the first place?
Dunno what time he posted but it's currently Bright window for Cape Westwind![]()
They're probably getting ready for Heavensward.
For anyone wondering:
Hack:
3:00
Rage:
4:15-5:00
5:30-5:45
7:10
7:50-8:00
9:45
10:35
11:05-End
Best laugh I had all night. Guy is a tool.
Quick, report him for name and shame on the OF and put the powers of that super awesome moderation to work!
Did the thread get nuked? I don't see it anymore.
Looks like it. But there's another "SE doesn't care about bots" thread up:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...asual-cheating
Ever since the Cape WW rage video I've started to wonder what exactly the troupes of RMT BLMs have actually been botting.
I don't notice them around as much anymore but they'd generally just keep popping in and out of DF around the Ul'dah aether, but I can't really think of anything they could be doing in DF to make gil <_>
Considering after NIN was released there were like....dozens of stacks of 99 bloody knife blades (mat for NIN relic) on the MB so I guess they just kept entering duties, POSing to chests, leaving, and repeating while selling the stuff to NPCs?
I really can't think of anything else, any other items would be devalued to worthless immediately so it would only be worthwhile for stuff that had a decent NPC value. I guess they just happened to notice that the NIN item was actually valuable right after NIN came out but had no idea what it was used for (hence selling stacks of 99) and were trying to get more money for them before they crashed.
Well, back when the beetles in WP gave gil, you could AOE burn those things down in 0 seconds and make some gil, then leave and repeat ad nausium.
Lump shit up and nuke? All I can really think of since other than the plundered gear from the starter dungeons/bloody weapon heads, I can't think of anything that can sell. And the former is barely on the MB so they can't be farming that.
Someone brought up the hypocrisy of that FC using tools/exploits out the ass in shitass ArcheAge (a dead game notorious for being P2W and so riddled with exploits), and generally being full of shit about their claims (basically being trash in ArcheAge); as a result salinity levels by Nekrage & Co. rose to high levels. Shit-tier crewing ensued, and apparently they got blown the fuck out badly enough to probably just spam report their thread to bury the evidence and hide their dirty laundry.
That's all second-hand info, and that thread is indeed gone. lol
They appear to bot a good bit of the MSQ also which is free gil+gear and lets them relvl new accounts at the same time.
Can sit by some NPCs in the lower-lvl zones and seeing an army of THMs appear stacked together in front of NPC, disappear for ten seconds, then reappear with their astral fires wearing off.
Anyone notice an increase in super impatient tanks in the game lately?
I just got yelled at for the second time today by a tank for explaining strats to people. I mean, it pisses me off when people don't look it up before starting something new but I'd rather spend 5 minutes explaining than 40 minutes wiping.
