The idiots are out in droves on OF still even today posting so many topics complaining about coil lock getting removed. Demanding it stay or have a 1 item a limit like CT. These people can't seem to grasp the concept that ilvl 90 gear in 2.2 will not be top tier anymore, and that there needs to be a faster way to get through old content so people can catch up to do the new content (new dungeons, leviathan, and coil 6-9) if they are behind in progression.

These were basically the same people that were demanding SE to remove the lockout only a week ago lol

I think a week lock is more than fair seeing as how currently you can potentially get a 3 week lock if your shit doesn't drop. I disagree with CT being useless though, as you're gearing one class to i90 you can be using CT to gear your next or even 3rd class with some half decent pieces so it isn't completely useless until you get around to doing allagan for it. With this new lockout though I wouldn't be surprised if T6-9 or however far they take it to now wouldn't drop armor i95 and maybe a weapon i100. Who knows.

Ya, i've been pretty lucky... been i90 for a long time and finally got my final 2 pieces last week Bow and legs. Pretty much have all the bard gear in the game minus ct bard, pvp gear, and coil body (Let the other bard have it because i had af2 body but getting it just because whenever it drops again). I've been spoiled >.>

Honestly? Aesthetics and just having played female characters for a good deal of my life (and the ones that aren't, aren't exactly the manliest characters... lolMarth)

In Phantasy Star Online I played a HUMar cause they looked bad ass. Then with 2.0 they nerfed them to hell and so I moved on to HUNewearl and FONewearl cause they were just strictly better than the guys. After having also played Chun Li in SF2 all my life (simply cause she could break the car the fastest... I thought it meant she was OP), I realized that there was no problem in just maining females. They usually get better outfits anyways.

Tried again to make a badass HUMar-esque guy in XI when it first came out only to realize "Guys look terrible in this game" so I defaulted back to female in XI. Kept this trend going ever since.

Main reason I play a female XIV character is that after 10+ years of playing a female in XI and friends only ever referring to me as 'Trap' rather than by name, it seemed wrong to then change to a male character when playing with the same group of people. Hell, even at my RL wedding they still called me Trap!

Plus, I couldn't make a Male character that I liked the look of. I did give it a go and I think for the most part it was the hairstyles that put me off.

Really? At least half the guys I know play males in RPGs. When I'm playing an RPG I'm doing one of two things:

1. I'm creating an avatar I project myself onto
2. I'm creating a character with a backstory I'm writing in my head

With the former you'll get people playing characters of their own gender (usually), with the latter it could be whatever. The third choice is the above mentioned "I like staring at a man/woman's ass", which I'd probably be more accepting of in a non-sarcastic way if half the people using that excuse weren't trying to backhandedly insult guys playing male characters. Who the fuck spends their time playing a video game staring at their character's ass, male or female?

I actually quite like the aesthetics of Lalas in XIV, but did not like Tarus in XI. I've always played a male character in MMOs as a male. I even played an ugly ass male Asmo in Aion with you Hydra Corps guys.

My wife is trying to get everyone in the LS to fantasia into Galkas (and preferably make them look as weird as possible). So far a few people have. I am terrified that one day I am just going to come home from work and log on to being a Galka as I have 2 Fantasias.

Her Galka character has received comments in DF's before about being the ugliest looking character people have seen... and she was proud...
