Bolded part makes me angry. Not like he's been in any other FF games or anything. Takes 15 posts for someone to call him on it.It should also make the events actually difficult, since currently the conclusion to the game is a complete cakewalk. Ultimate Weapon was the hardest challenge in FF7, and it was almost sad to see it made a joke out of by the horde of overgeared speedrunners. Bloody Ifrit was more of a challenge!

Different thread. Double-flare might be an oversight that unbalances the game, guys.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ulti-flare-blmJust wondering what people think about the outbreak of black mages across eorzea using flare multiple times in quick succession.
I wonder if the developers had this kind of rotation in mind; it does such huge damage compared to other dps roles that it has pushed the popularity of BLM far above everything else, at least on my data center I expect to see at least one BLM in all high level dungeons 95% of the time.
Beyond the multi-target damage being greatly overpowered compared to all other dps roles, it also draws such huge enmity which rivals tanks, at least paladin anyway. I was just in a Halatali run on my paladin where I used flash twice on a mob, followed by a basic combo, followed by flash twice more. Immediately after the 4th flash, the enemies ran to the black mage.
I didn't think it was even possible that they could do more enmity than me while flashing; I was already forced to spam flash more than normal and it still was not enough. Yes I was in shield oath and with i96 gear level. Keeping enmity was never a problem before the mass outbreak of i95+ blm spamming flare we have now. It's changed the game.
He must be with the 2 other BLMs who actually do it, becaust all I ever get are retarded "Fire2 to get to 3 stacks, Freeze during UI1, not actually double Flaring" BLMs.
Good god this generation of gamers is the whiniest bitches. Something not to your liking? Cry to the dev's! Man when I was playing street fighter competitively back in the early 00's we played the most broken games and had to hold that shit. Now, even in the SF scene people just cry to the dev's when they run into something they don't like or understand.
Princess generation
Now they even record themselves doing so:

Yeah I had to play vs a lot of team scrub and msp, but I stayed strong with spiral/cable/sent.

Tanks who are bad at tank swapping give advice.
If WAR: Provoke >Skull Sunder>begin comboing
If PLD: Provoke >Rage of Halone>begin comboing
It's really that simple. You are correct in that Flash+Overwhelm, will be enough to claim [Caduceus], you could even go Flash+Overwhelm+Flash/Tomahawk, then tank like normal and enjoy the face smashing ^.^
I am kinda lost? I don't tank that much but what is wrong with the first comment? The second is crap I get due to using so much tp when you don't need it. But what is wrong with keeping up a combo hit for the swap?
Like on gardua ex. I always have roh ready as ot for sister. Not a tank swap but ya.
That first quote comes from someone with nearly 2k posts on the OF. Color me surprised, it's always the noisiest ones who don't know what the fuck.
Notice where he doesn't specify to combo. Provoke > Halone > Fast+combo is wrong and bad. It should always be Fast > Savage > Provoke > Combo Halone.
Good tanks know when they should be preparing to take something and do their prep, though. Bad tanks give advice like that.
Lol OK I was taking that as doing the combo first part first before swap. Maybe I was giving him to much credit?
