Thats pretty shitty
Lame...
To be fair, like everyone i've ever seen in the games industry (dev or journalist) uses an iPhone. It's very rare for me to see someone use an android.
Having said that, I don't want to wait months. *sigh*
I could give a shit about the mobile, by the time it comes out on Android, I will already be playing F4. If you get the itch to play the mobile version, just go play This War of Mine, its basically the same thing, but w/o Fallout skins.
I only wanna play the game because it's fallout lol
Up until recently though when Apple released the iPhone 6, they'd actually been selling considerably fewer units, competitively. I believe from 2012 up to like Feb/March 2015, Android was outselling them.
That may be, but the point of the app was to be something to play while waiting for Fallout 4 to release. Both Android and iOS combined are like 99% of the market, but neither one is really all that considerably larger than the other, so to make it and release it only on one, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. That is, of course unless they had some kind deal with Apple. But who knows; they won't speak about it. I do like how when asked on Twitter if this was supposed to be a "timed exclusive" they deny it and say, "No, no, we'll release on Android." But then if the time it takes to release it is several months, isn't that kind of the definition of a timed exclusive?
It's not exclusivity, it's that iOS is vastly easier to code for because you have almost zero hardware/software variation to account for. On Android you not only have to deal with the large variety of hardware, massive fragmentation in regards to the base versions of Android (4.0, 5.0, 5.1 etc) AND manufacturer specific differences in the code (Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, etc etc) and any underlying kernel modifications that might come with that.
Music To My Ear Holes.
I'd already planned to PC it, but that's pretty upsetting for console owners. Also, memes.
I get why people buy consoles, but I can't imagine playing a Bethesda game on one.
