also anyone know how to remove mods from already existing guns? is the only way to do it to create like a standard mod or something so the one i want goes into my inventory?

Switch to the first mod of that gun. It'll cost the least amount of materials but you can keep the better mods. Great for removing super mods from shit guns that you find.

When you go to upgrade a gun to a mod that you have, instead of using the mats, it'll use the Mod you have on you or in your storage

If you are a melee character, you'll definitely want to make a trip to Hubris Comics building. On the top floor in one of the lockers, you'll find a Grognak The Barbarian costume, which, in addition to looking utterly ridiculous, gives you a melee boost.
