Well I've encountered a weird glitch I guess, my XP gains are no longer popping up on screen. Not from crafting, killing, or quests. I am still getting XP (can track progress in Pip Boy) but just not the on screen notification.

This. A lot of the companions are locked at certain affinity thresholds (typically 500 or 750) until you complete a specific quest. In the console you can click on him and do getav CA_Affinity to see what his level is currently at. Perks you get at 1000 usually and most of the time when you gain approval it's in increments of 15. Also there's an internal cooldown on approval gains but you can bypass this by quicksaving and loading after you get the notification.
Makes stuff like capping Macready really easy by just stealing a bunch of random junk with save/load between each one.
Shit, it's probably the mass fusion quest that I need to complete. Well. Other companies first I guess.
I want to complete the Silver Shroud quest but every time I talk to Hancock all I get is he wants to be my companion, wat do
LOL @ Mama Murphy:
Spoiler: show
And for me he made his own way to his office when it came time to turn in quest.
Just finished me main storyline that was very underwhelming lol. I am wondering if I should stay with this character or try a new one.
So, funny story. Way back when, when I was starting out in the game and exploring. I'd crouch everywhere and make sure to take out any and all enemies I saw ahead.
Well, one time, I saw a bunch of robots ontop of that crashed ship in Boston. I sniped them all.
After many stupid attempts to figure the ship out, forgetting, repeat, I finally saw the stupidly small hatch and have now realized that there was a quest on this ship and have fucked my chances at getting whatever was on it
don't worry, it was just the cannon ball gun
Hey, don't forget a dope looking hat.
So, for Railroad quests. mid/late game story thing

He's a peasant so he might be fucked.
I think you guys just keep mentioning you're PC just to get your rocks off.
I cannot fathom playing a Bethesda game on a console. Probably already got at least a dozen mods installed in addition to the joy of the developer console.
But no, I wasn't going out of my way to mention it in my previous post.
