These are not new games. Kinda of crazy the show is what brings ppl to play FO lol....Would have never guessed. Thought that show would bomb; let alone enhance the FO player populace.

Not shocked FO 4 is the most popular, it is vastly underrated and a more modern experience than NV or 3. Also, a better modding experience. Now, if they remake the latter two.......

I saw it's free on Amazon, but with their weird cloud service. I've heard more popular things about NV vs 4, but both are worth playing no?

3 and especially NV are better games than 4, but obviously substantially more dated.

NV has the best writing / setting / companions/ weapon selection / quest design but is janky and ugly and needs a million mods. 4 is worse at basically everything RPG wise but is much prettier with better underlying gameplay systems, likewise benefits from a million mods. really depends on your tolerance for jank, both worth playing. New Vegas is really something special tho if you can stomach it.

If you have any intention of actually role-playing as a character avoid 4 like the plague. The conversation system in 4 is notorious for how little variety it offers (effectively 3 variations of yes or a no answer that just loops you back around to the different ways of saying yes), whereas 3 and especially NV clearly allow you to define who your character is and how they interact with the world.

But as ag said, the jank is pretty extreme in the older titles

4 is also currently unmoddable due to the update unless you already had something in place and blocked the update.

3 was my first entry in the series and I loved it. NV was literally just a better version of 3. I never finished 4.

I really enjoyed the bare handed karate in new Vegas. Just pump strength and punch dudes.

I think FO4 is on Microsoft Game Pass and PSN now so its "free" in that regard. Ditto for FO76.

every Bethesda title is on Gamepass no? even what they didn't dev.

that said modding on Gamepass is usually a headache and dlc usually not included but ya great and easy way to try em all if you already have it.

The update made it so you have to re-download all Creation Club content, individually, but every time you download a piece, it crashes Creation Club.

anyone with a real interest in Fallout 4 (all 3 of us) prolly better served waiting a week for bugs to get ironed out and mods to get sorted (on PC at least, my console brethren tell me the update is good to go as is)

PlayStation owners are fucked if they want the full FO3 or NV experience now because all the DLC are locked to PS3 versions only, pretty shitty
